Stage 1 Install Suggestions

Going to be installing my Stage 1 sensors i bought from PA

Any tips or tricks for the install ?

What are you guys using for shaving down the one sensor? Anyone have a pic of how far to cut it down or do we just shave it flat?

Any tips or tricks would be great

Going to solder and Heat shrink everything

Not sure if the latest ones need to be checked or not, MKriebs can chime in here, but make sure they seal tight and the O-Rings are the proper size OH and plug in the connectors firmly, don't want to see you make a GM Tech FAIL! LOL! :p

X2. My O-rings were loose and I had vac leaks at both until I got the proper size o-rings at the auto parts store. My connectors plug in very securely though. Much better than the stock T-map connector.

oh ya, the kit comes with the new o-rings, they dont come with just the sensor/harness purchase.

Um file down that tab till its flush with the top of the sensor. remember to torq down the sensors per instructions!

Good suggestions so far

I printed off the instructions from GM Tuner Source

You guys mostly soldering and heat shrinking your connections? I figure this would be best

Also read about some people rotating the lower sensor for clearance?

I didn't receive any o-rings in a bag. My sensor bags were open and o-rings were already installed on the sensors.

Does PA already install O-rings for you?

If i have to get O-rings what am i looking for?

Slightly larger Orings if they dont fit. Try them first tho, do the one on the intake manifold since its easy.

make sure those O-rings you receive become lubricated. Very important and ask the dealer questions of how they install so it will meet your expectations and look over the work.

yes the stage kit install was very explicit about lubing them. AND using locktite on the bolts to install the sensors.

Yes my sensor bags were opened

I figure that PA already installed the new o-rings cause the ones on there are pretty thick

Lubricating O-rings is always a must

Torque spec must be in the instructions?
