Cobalt LNF Turbo Upgrade Update – July 31
Written by Corey Mullane Friday, 31 July 2009
News
It's all Cobalt all the time here lately at GMTS! Well we just received a small update and in our true form of releasing info as soon as we get it in, here we go. It comes direct from deep inside as we now have confirmation that there is a Cobalt LNF running around town with the infamous stage 1 kit on it. We just got a call from a friend that was driving the car and pulled over on the side of the road and he seemed a little out of breath.
He was having way too much fun in the seat and his enthusiasm was exciting to hear. "The Cobalt owners are in for a big surprise with this kit," he said as he caught his breath. "It's like an entirely different car." We tried to yank as much info as we could out of him but he just had a simple update for us before he got back to wringing out the newly upgraded Stage 1 Cobalt SS. The update was that the Cobalt Stage 1 kit will carry a part a number of 19212670.
That number may seem familiar and it should. It’s the p/n assigned to all of the other LNF Upgrade Kits, which you could now deem as Stage 1's we guess. When you get to the dealer and tell them that p/n, they'll match it up with your vehicle and pull the correct tune out of the system for your car. No worries either, the system is such that the tech installing the kit can't put the wrong tune in your car.
We were also told that once the certification process is completed, the instructions will be sent out right away. At that point, we'll post them up here for everyone to download. When you see that document up here, that's when you'll know that the kit is available at your dealer. Of course we'll have more updates as we get them in.
The great news is we are getting closer and things are starting to move. We are excited to be able to give you some nice news for the weekend and you can rest assured that we will be digging for more for the early part of next week. Have a great weekend everyone!
