I am leaving work in about 3 hours. If it doesn't start and idle perfect. Then I will be dedfinitly putting my stock air box back on for sure and will clean the maf and reset the computer.

Next week some time I have a bluetooth obd2 scan tool coming from eBay that Sox recomended to me to try. And I have a a little program called torque that I am going to use to monitor my stft and my ltft on my cell phone. As well as what ever data the program displays to help me out.

And with cleaning the maf. Is it best robuse carb cleaner? Or can I use electrical cleaner. I already have some at home and it says it is good for cleaning electrical equipment and does not leave a oily residue behind ? Or is actual carb cleaner the best to use ?

As I was leaving work today , I had the great idea to take a video of my car on cold start up after sittinf for about 5 and a half to 6 hours. I expected fall the car to fall on its face and stumble all over the place.

But instead my car decided to finally idle pretty much perfect. I will know for sure later tonight when I cold start it again around 10 at night to make sure. If it does idle fine again. \you would never guess what was wrong and causing it to stall. Fingers crossed.

My car does NOT like the k&n filter at 11:30 !! Sense day one I have installed my k&n the filter has been installed at the 12 o'clock position. And the car has always been okay with that position. Well about a week and a half ago I decidied to rotate the filer about 1/2 and inch to 3/4 of an inch to the 11:30 position like so many people say works the best. well , if I really look think back my car hasn't really liked that change sense I changed it. And with the warmer weather it decided to really act up and start to stall and stuble all over the place.

All I did was rotate the filter back to the 12:00 position and the car is happy at cold starts again now. It is hard to beleive that the filter orentation and such a little change can cause the car to stall. It must really change the way the air flows over the maf. When my bluetooth comes in next week I am going to start to check my ltft and my stft with my phone using torrque. And I am deffinitly going to be getting you ( Term. ) to tune my car as soon as my budget allows it.

P.S - I assume that the video of the car ideling seems smooth enough to you and the idle sems fine ?

Thanks for all the input ! Much appreciated !!

The MAF is so sensitive on these cars so I am not surprised that the way the air was hitting the MAF was the issue.
