Sorry but revision numbers really mean nothing. There is so many things that come into play with tuning remotely. Tuning in person is a different story. It all depends on the car and the set up.

I have heard good things about Chris too. He is coming to winnipeg in sept for a group tuning session. However I am tuned by InfraRedline and am quite happy. I was tuned by James and it sucked.
He argues with James cause he knows James sucks.

I notice your sig says that your precision turbo went boom, sure you didn't have some sort of mechanical issue as well? For the record, I'm not trying to stir anything up or nutswing, I'm just asking

And looking at the times of the revisions saved there is some significant time between them, unsure as to if it was Term or Kzak that the turn around was taking.

Also the one with the 5-7* knock throughout the range, that is certainly not timing related. No way would someone push the timing that far, but it's impossible to tell from the posting of just the max KR if it's true knock (ECU pulling timing) or false KR.

The 5558 didn't exactly go boom, just started to blow blue smoke. I switched to the gt28 a few weeks ago and all good. About a week after I put the 5558 on I started getting a burning oil smell on hot starts so I think the turbo was condemed to begin with.

As for the kr idk. All I know is that on my car and a locals car it went away by switching tuners.

As for the time between logs sometimes It was him sometimes it was me. I was in school at the time. Car isn't my daily.

please keep in mind kids, that KR is the first resort to an issue with the calibration on the vehicle. this does not mean it is ignition timing itself.

You can hit a small bump in the road and the ecm will trigger KR.

If burst knock is still active, sudden throttle changes will show up as knock even when it doesn't physically do it.

Exhaust leaks can also register as KR. I had the gasket between the head and the turbo manifold deteriorate on cylinder 1 and the noise was being picked up as 3-4* of KR. Replaced the gasket and all KR magically disappeared

I've stumbled upon kr in multiple of my logs with my old tuner, James, and term. Believe it or not the roads that were smooth, straight, and allowed me to really be aggressive were the roads to key in the tuning and eliminated my kr. Really allowed a spectrum of powerbands to be tuned throughly.

I have a loop I do when I log. All pretty smooth back roads. Sometimes I go on the freeway but I usually stick to the boonies. Lol.

My tuner has worked with Term in the past. And has had good luck with all of terms tunes. My tuner has bits and pieces of things done on my car from his tune that term originally did for him. Like the spark advance tables. Frankly... My car is smother now then it was on gms1. I am currently running 23 psi with a 24 psi spike . i have 14 deg timing and a .86 Lamda. My car had about 3 to 5 deg of knock at 15 deg timing. So we back it off to 14 deg and i now have zero knock. I have neen very happy with my new tune. It feels like another whole car compared to before.

Only a kn sri that i put on. We tuned the maf for it and now my fuel trims are near perfect. And i had a srmtock air box before the kn. My furl trims where -6% on the stock air box. Now near perfect with the kn sri. And conpared to my gms1. My car now rolls into second and then starts frying the tires from 4000 rpm up.. So i also avoid going wot now . lol

For one to fully understand the dynamics of an engine and how it reacts to certain things in a trial and error situation, is to learn that zero KR is not always a good thing and can result in poor mpg, or masking of other issues. It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation with the LNF no matter which way you slice it.

I think hes being the bigger man and just staying out if it not to cause drama. Instead of acting like a child and arguing to the point of getting banned.
