There is the GM service manual. It's about $150. There are three volumes...each one is about 2-3'' thick. I was kind of disappointed at the lack of part numbers though. I had never bought a service manual before and assumed they would be listed.

Is there no Haynes manual for this car. Those cover all of the basics and they are only like $30

I own the official Helm manuals posted above, very good books... worth the money. I'd offer to scan but holy **** guys its literaly like almost 2000 pages between the 3 volumes.

I bought the ones for my ford escape, the official ford workshop manuals... WOW they are soooooo much better than haynes/chilton. Like gimpster said, WELL WORTH the purchase.

It covers all models of Cobalt and G5, and literally covers every system in the car. From cigarette lighter to the turbocharger.

REalize they ARE shop manuals for people with decent mechanical skills though, and they dont really hold your hand. Another thing is a lot of the DTC troubleshooting involves using tools you don't own. IE: a Tech2 or the like.
