For Those With Trifecta Tune
I have the trifecta tune, but I was wondering what your boost gauge says for boost. Mine only shows 20 psi but was told by vince that it was at 22 psi even tho it dont show it, and after talking to some with the tune they say it shows 22 psi, so I am wondering if something is wrong with my gauge or if its not at 22 psi. So after all that I am asking how much are you boosting?
I was told by Vince that the tune consisted of higher airflow targets for any given RPM, so It's possible that you live in a colder place or something so that you need less psi to get the same performance.
BTW, I know the question has already been asked, but have you guys had any problems with the tune so far??? I'm really interested in getting it... F*$&/$ GM's stage kit

check if air filter is clean
this is beginning to sound quite interesting...if i was to hypothetically get this tune, what else is required? Or can I just have the tune and nothing else? Anybody else have just the tune and see substantial benefits?
I would also suggest an upgraded clutch longer term. Some people's slip right after a tune and some don't slip at all (just be smart with it... i.e. no flooring in 5th @2K RPM).
New mounts may be a good bet if you make a habit out of using high power from a stop too, so you don't grenade your axles/tranny. NLS would also be inadvisable. If you're making less power (like GM stage kit amount ~290/340..?) you should still be alright though, since GM's okay not only with doing it after the kit, but is actually adding the feature to those vehicles that didn't have it already (like the GXP/Sky Redline).
These are just general things to look into when making increased power... esp what the Trifecta tune is putting out. The bottom line though is simply how you drive it.
Anybody with the Trifecta tune still able to nls properly? or is that too rough on the drivetrain with all the added power? I'm tempted to get the tune but am worried about durability of the tranny and the turbo.
I tried it over the weekend while goofing off with my brother since he was down. NLS didnt feel any worse then factory setup. I am running OTTP Stage 1 mounts to prevent wheel hop (which would be the worst thing we could experience), after that only time will tell how long the tranny will hold up. Considering some of the power numbers on here, and the way others seem to drive, I'm not too worried about mine holding up when I do the occassional hard run. There will be no issues w/ the turbo, it doesnt matter if I NLS or not, time will tell how long the k04's will run @ these boost levels. On my Audi I had a k04-015 (non twin scroll) running 22lbs of boost as well, it lasted over 40k miles before I sold the car. I do not see any issues coming from the turbos
