Cool Time for HEAD!! lol

LOL not really as the title dictates ( you nasty freaks) but anyway have the foundation for my build my turbo kit is together and just got pistons and cam from Monograt & frog (thanx by the way again) so now im looking at head works and im stuck between Performance autowerks valve springs and ZZP's valve springs. Pwerks valve springs are made by the same company that makes the valve springs for the katech C6r & GM Racing good for 8k rpm road racing and 8.5k drag, ZZP comes with the retainers and not sure wut the racing spec are. cant find them. ZZP's are $329 with titanium retainers and Pwerks are $299 just for the springs but they are drop in replacement...wut ya'll think?

get zzp if you want a drop in spring, supertech if you don't mind having your spring journals shaved a bit.
pwerks charges up the ASS for most of their parts for the LNF...

if your trying to say that pwerks charges more then what they should......your wrong.....they just build most of there LNF parts by hand and you get GREAT quality products. i know this due to spending most of a day in there shop.....

as for the OP, you get what you pay for in the case of cars. thats how i decide what to buy for my car. i've been burned before trying to use cheaper parts or something.....

roger but there is no big diff price between the two products and it states that katech uses those same springs in their C6R so i was just asking of course, and Ford I built my own kit. based of Cmiller's PTE5957 DBB turbo i brought from him, i decided to upgrade compressor wheel so waiting to get a RGA# from PTE then having it sent in. also want to thermal coat my turbo similar to that white one floating around here but black

I know but it looks like its JUST the springs, not the retainers. Zzp is a bit more but comes with the retainers

wait, so the supertech springs have to be modified to work, and the zzp springs drop right in???
thats kind of a no brainer considering zzp offers titanium as well...

In order for supertech dual springs to fit, you would need to get the spring journals bored out a bit. I had it done. I liked the idea of two springs per valve than one. Personal preference

Pwerks offer diff type of springs the ones im looking at are drop in replacements not the supertech ones, i think im goin with zzp for the fact they offer the retainers.
