300ft skidpad
.89g ss/Sc
.92g ss/tc

Braking yes these are correct from car and driver

70-0 160ft ss/sc
70-0 162ft SS/TC
True, you got me there! Knowledge is power and I had lack thereof on the aforementioned! Kudos! Thanks for proving me wrong!

just wanted to chime in for people that want wider tires when lowered... If you have your car lowered, whether it is a ss/na, sc, or tc... the widest you can go without any body mods is a 235.. a 245 will rub when hitting bumps, and a 255.. well we already know what will happen if a 245 is rubbing... on stock height, i cant give an exact answer.. i only know these because I was dropped on H&Rs, which drops the cobalt the lowest for just a spring, on my first ss/sc and we test fit all the sizes at my job.

See the only thing with going to a 245/40 is the over all height is 25.7 inches where sock is 25.0 inches and the 255/35 are 25.02 inches wont having almost an inch taller tire hurt performance some.

255/35 is 24.96

but going to such a wide tire will make it rub when turning. espeically if dropped

Keep in mind guys compound > Width. With that in mind if you dont mind spending the extra cash get a really sticky tire. Bridgestone Potenza RE-11, and the new Yokohama Advin AD08 are going to be the best tires you can get for track use bar none. The Dunlop Direza Spec Z or what ever is also a good choice for less money but wears faster. If you plan on auto x or road racing, go with one of those three tires. Couple other things to keep in mind is when you go wider you also gain weight. Overall though the compound is superior to the width, i'm sure my RE-11's out perform many 255 or even higher around the track. Just keep those things in your mind.

Just sharing hehe , there is no doubt that the TC is a leap ahead in every way, most people just look past the ss/sc , now and when it was released. It's still a good car, fun to drive and can perform admirably .

I have been looking around at tires and have found that all high performance all season tires like the goodyear eagle gt as have way better traction, cornering, and wear than the stockers, and you can drive in the snow. It sounds dumb to buy an all season but for a 235/40-18 there only 127.00 a piece and way better dry and wet traction than most summer performance tires.

After weeks of research I placed an order for my NT 05's today and plan to run event#1 in Solosprint on DDT end of May.
This is going to be the tire to beat in the street classes I think, plus straight line traction will be a lt better than the Conti's.
Do have a pic of them on the car?

Thanks, your car is not so bad either. What does she do in the 1/4?

Not to hijack this thread about my car, but to show the tires I chose for my Cobra last year. Upgraded from the Toyo RA1 to these.
