The car was designed to go fast around a road coarse, and it does this very well. I'm not saying I haven't hammered it a few times late at night, but I don't make it a regular practice. There's no need to be driving like you're on a road coarse on public roads, you just look like a tard thinks they are in a fast and furious movie. Also, i'm willing to bet people who track/auto-x their cars will react much better at the limit than your street racing crew or whatever. And regardless, at triple digit speeds it's difficult for experianced race car drivers to avoid say a deer, pothole, another motorist and maintain control of the car. Bottom line, it's unsafe and stupid. I will enjoy cruising at a leisurly 70mph on the highway because I prefer to keep ticket/ accident free as I have for the past 10 years. You can drive like a chode if you want to and think it makes you cool/ tough/ have a bigger dick, etc...

 

one question. why are most car reviews and road tests done on the street not the track? oh wait i an answer that we own a ******* street car and 95% of us on here bought it for the streets so if you hate the fact that people use there street car as a street car you probably should just get off here or keep youre pointless opinion to yourself.

I have forgotten more about fixing cars than 99% of ppl ever even learn I came out of high school qualified to work for GM, Chrysler and Ford computer diagnostics which at the time was the number one sought after skill for a technician I could have written off all my apprenticeship and became journeyman within 8 mos of finishing high school but instead went Oilfield construction after all $150,000 a yr was pretty ******* impossible for a simple mechanic and I made $96000 my first 7 mos on the job not bad for an 18 yr old kid huh?? I am an old man by any standards I have worked my ass off and run my body into the ground doing so but I gurantee you I will run your sorry ass off any track or highway or wherever the **** you wanna run, I will repeat myself again if you don't like what you are reading about this top speed stuff why the **** are you here?? I do drive my car on the street. However, I don't see any need to drive like a douche. It accomplishes nothing. Just because the car can be driven hard day in and day out doesn't mean it should be. Driving around like you're in a fast and furious movie is just plain stupid no matter how you look at it.

Ive been accident and ticket free my entire life and I drive like a mad man everywhere I go, hmm maybe I am actually good at driving and only do fast stuff where it is safe to do so?? Why do car and driving and supercar and all those people do there stuff on streets? Probably because there closed roads they use to do texting. And usually when there just cruising in the car they're doing the speed limit. Then they go to a closed course and do 1/4 mi, 0-60, and brake test. Are you that dumb to not realize that? Do you not read the fine print at the beginning of the show? Of course not because you cant read 55 or 65 on the ******* sign.......

No I didn't buy my car to just drive in. Yes some people do ******* do that. A guy in a toyta prius can do over 100 mph if he wanted to. Please do realize that. The cobalt is FAR from a supercar......very far.

I did 155 in a tunnel at 3 in the morning with nobody else in the mile and a half long tunnel. Thats the only place around here you dont have to worry about hitting anyone.
