http://www.treadstoneperformance.com/product-photo-xlarge.phtml?pk=4608

08+ Cobalt SS 2.0 LNF Turbo, 304 Stainless Cast Tubular Manifold. Soon to be released is our custom T3 turbo upgrade kit utilizing a bullet proof 304 cast stainless steel tubular turbo manifold! Treadstone manifolds are cast using the latest in turbocharger-manifold technology using state of the art CAD based techniques. They benefit from an exclusive investment casting method utilizing bulletproof 304/347 stainless steel. The high thermal inertia and excellent heat retention of cast stainless steel provides the turbocharger with as much thermal energy as possible. This effect raises the overall efficiency of the system and produces results superior to tubular/welded manifolds. Furthermore, stainless steel is virtually impenetrable to rust and other forms of corrosion and will stay looking beautiful for years to come. No more rusting looking turbo manifolds!

I'd rank them around the same. ZZP's is more direct of a flow to the turbo though and they have a v-band flange for the wastegate, but treadstone's location of the turbo is more convenient down lower plus they have studs and theirs is pretty, lol.

I would also like for Treadstone to provide the benefits over stock of this manifold. Great work though, just want to know the purpose. Isn't a S256et a t-4 flange?

Oh yeah man! For sure! Its a great turbo with a controllable, streetable powerband! You should get ZZP to fab you up a downpipe.

Do you think I would have room for this turbo?

I have a BNR that has been sitting in my room for a few months now. Took time off work to see if I can get it in next week.

I think you would! Physically, the external size of the S256ET isn't much bigger than the stock ko4 due to there not being an external wastegate or bpv. Go ahead and install your BNR though, you may be happy with the power level it puts you at!

we'll see, I do a lot of Road Racing and in that a lot of power doesn't always mean anything. That is kinda why I jumped on the BNR. I'm always open though to upgrading after though cause I know I will get the itch.

Completely understandable man! You may want to try and get your hands on their ZFR then as its good for 500whp and spools just as quick as stock!

Benefits over stock manifold:
-Larger runners: Stock runners neck down in places, are irregular shaped. The larger runners are needed when approaching the 400whp mark.
-Smoother, investment cast is much smoother for less friction along runner walls, its like an extrude hone, but not so much
-Able to adapter T3 based turbos, which can support up to 800hp
-stock like turbo placement so you can reuse intercooler piping and intake piping

hi,

with GM Stage 1, K&N intake and a catless downpipe, will this mod provide any gains?

My buddy just bought one of these manifolds for his SE-R, and it's just beautiful. The one for his platform doesn't dip nearly as much since it's on the front of the engine, but the pretty colors it's turning from the heat makes it look so sick too.

This manifold is for t3 exhaust housings, not the stock turbo.
