anybody do any testing of the treadstone intercooler vs zzp's? and does the treadstone intercooler kit relocate the MAF to the cold side pipe?

Sorry this is off topic but not really since the post was started by treadstone but do the universal MAF adapters fit cause i tried the ones from autozone for the sake of being cheap but it didnt fit and if so do i need the ACCMP01N3T or L

I'll be posting plenty of input next week when I start installing my stage 3 kit. I'll try to post up the trims of the intake and stuff too. Hopefully I can give everyone a good idea of what to expect.

Yea I am getting mine next week. I'm pretty excited. Term is tuning it, its going to be a Trifeca/HP dual tune. Its gong to be sweet on that 4 door white you got there ramrod. Definitely a sleeper.

Term has sent me some estimates. He is telling me like 380-390 torque with E85 mix... and 360-370 torque with premium pump gas with the trifecta/hp combo. He said that the combo will be better when I turbo swap and stuff.

As far as I know the hp and trifecta are the same until 400 hp. Then you need a combo to get past that and really get into the serious power. That is just how I read the posts on here. The last things I tuned were Holley strip dominator carbs so this is still a little new to me.

Your first question... The stage 3 doesn't have a turbo with it. When I get enough cash I will be getting the treadstone manifold. I haven't looked into turbos yet so I'm not sure what I will be getting. Probably something that will spool fast for daily driving and light track duty. The 252 is pretty high on my list but I have to look into it further.

Well after taking a quick look at the Treadstone turbos, I think they are using the Precision Turbo set ups. I'll be looking at the 5857, seems like a good balance of spool and air pumping. Capable of up to 500 hp which is more than I was looking. It should be well within the limits of the turbo so it doesn't go AWOL on top. But like I said I haven't really researched it yet so don't take my work for it. I would definitely wait for Treadstone or someone more knowledgeable to chime in.

I'm kinda going the same route you are. I'm going to get everything on now and then maybe swap the turbo next year if I want more power. I like the look of that cast manifold. I wonder what my buddy's shop can do with the inside to increase flow. It looks a bit rough and I think some milling and beadwork can smooth it up nicely, just a thought though.

I'm looking to get around 425 hp at the wheels. After that its all gravy baby! I'll have a very conservative tune for daily driving and a more advanced tune for the strip. I want to upgrade the clutch first and get slicks.

what do you think the s3 with zzp manifold and 252 would push... 380 400? and if i get a diff. pcm and tune on the diff. pcm, and keep stock parts, if i needed warranty work could i go back to all stock with the gms1 pcm without the dealer knowing or could they see the mileage difference?

i like warranty

I really don't know I think ZZP was pushing 450 with the 252 but I might be mistaken.

The kits are both very good looking. I like the treadstone manifold, the ball bearing turbo option and the intercooler. Either way you can't really go wrong, I know people are getting sticker shock with the Treadstone kit but its actually pretty comparable to price when you look at it in whole. There is the intercooler with the treadstone kit and the option for the Ball bearing turbo. I like aspects of both kits but I like the Treadstone better in general (personal opinion) that is why I ordered it. I'll let you know next week when I get the S3 all hooked up.

The treadstone kit hasn't been released with pricing yet but it is supposed to have everything. You would have to call them. When I called I optioned mine to spend a little less money and to get the performance I wanted. I got the catless dp, resonator only exhaust, and since I already have HP tuners I didn't need a tune.

The treadstone kits are here for you to check out. The pricing is on there. I just checked and they haven't put out pricing for the Stage 4 kit yet. If you call they could probably give you a good idea of how much the whole thing is going to cost. But at this point I am out of information for you haha, sorry dude. I'll have more info next week when I put it all on. The link will take you to the cobalt stuff.
