How much room is between the turbo and the firewall with this manifold? Im looking into the new Borgwarner EFR series turbos and im hoping the one im looking at will fit.

Enough to get in there with your hand. I believe that a new manifold will re-position the turbo at a different angle to allow for more room. The stock manifold won't allow for a different turbo, not because of clearance issues but because of bolt pattern issues. Maybe your Borg Warner will fit to the current manifold I am not sure, but I do know that most aftermarket turbos wont bolt to a stock manifold.

Yeah the borgwarner im looking at has a T3 flange. im not sure what the stock on has? but i also dont think i can fit the bigger turbo between the firewall and stock manifold. lol! Yeah it looks like this manifols moves the turbo down far enough to have more room.

Yea the stock one definitely won't do the t3 flange. The treadstone one looks very good though.

Treadstone is at some big east coast show this week. I know they are getting back next week or something. Maybe they will be able to tell us then.

I hear you on that one. Its a tough decision. I want to get the good stuff but I don't want to pay 10,000 for something either. I do like the manifold treadstone is going to make. Also I have the full treadstone stage 3 kit and it is amazing. I would expect their other stuff to be just as good.

If I had to guess, I would say their full turbo kit with Manifold, Turbo, Exhaust, IC, Tuning, BOV and Piping will be in the $4000 - $4500 range

That's what I am doing. I have the Stage 3 kit now and once they release the turbo upgrade in the spring I will pick it up.

I'm a little afraid of getting a full turbo swap now... Cardelino blew his trans again and I like all 5 gears right where they are at... As fast as mine is with just the stage 3 kit... I whink I'm happy with it for a while now as my daily driver, as long as the sun is shining anyways

Honestly the whole tranny thing was probly his fault. He doesnt let off between shifts and when I was checking over his car his clutch grabs as soon as you lift off the floor which leads me to believe that it may not have been 100% disengaging leading to premature wear. For hardly being tuned the car was moving. Pulled hard all the way to redline, not falling off as rpms rose

Yea true but that could also be because he could have been using a pucked clutch as well. They grab like a ****. I want one but if I get one it would pretty much be a track car by then since a normal clutch is better fro the street. There are probably alot of things that lead up to it but running a ton of power through the trans didn't help. Besides I will have a new project next year other than the balt.
