Trifecta 100 Octane tune
Hello all,
I am heading to the race track tomorrow and wondering if anyone else is running Trifecta's 100 Octane tune? Just would like to know what to expect power wise. I have the GM Stage 1 + catless DP, CAI, HAHN Intercooler and piping. I also have an Exedy clutch installed to put whatever I might have to the ground. I currently run the Trifecta tune on 93 and it is incredible. Can't wait to see what 100 Octane will be like.
By the way Vince is the man, great service and expertise!
Thank you!
Enrique

It's not false knock either. As soon as I put the 100 octane in, it stops. Completely inaudible, but it will slowly lunch engines.
ex-NASA instructor/racer. I hang out with a more relaxed group now. What can I say, I'm getting older. Have fun at Autobahn. Wish I could drive that track.

When I go to the local 1/8th I run straight 100 octane. It keeps spark knock down from the short bursts during the 1/8th (which not only is good for the engine, but keeps it from pulling timing during my runs). I also shut my engine off every time I get back to my spot in line to keep heat down from sitting in one spot and idling.

Had a blast, did run the 100 Octane map with 104 Octane and car ran incredible. No engine issues whatsoever! Wish I could say the same for the brake. I actually blew one of the front hoses out of the crimp to the brembo caliper! Not fun at the end of the fastest straight on the track! Fortunately did not hit anything! Was able to get a replacement at autozone and back on track.
Placed 3rd in TTD on Saturday behind Cobb tuned Mazdaspeed3 and Porsche 911 and 2nd on Sunday behind the Porsche and ahead of MS3. So all in all a great weekend.
Thanks for the tips!

Well, in that case, I have some tips for you. Don't run the 100 octane tune. I don't know what Vince runs for timing, but typical street tunes knock on track. I splash about 3 gallons of 100 octane in to keep it from knocking. It's either that, or you have to run stock/GMS1, which run very low timing. Otherwise you will knock about 1 minute of WOT around 5500 rpm.
