Trifecta self install or dealer install?

I have the GMS1 and I am fully bolted. I am looking into getting the Trifecta tune on top of the GMS1. The closest trifecta dealer to me is 160miles away (320 round trip).
Is it worth it go to a dealer and get the tune installed or should I do it my self?
Basically can an amateur (no tuning experience) install the custom trifecta tune as good as a dealer?

If you buy the cable and do it yourself, you technically ARE a dealer. So you can use the cable for future updates and you can sell a couple tunes to re-coup the money you spent on the cable. Seems like a no brainer to me. That's what I did anyways.

It's super easy to do. If you have any computer skills at all you won't have a problem. This all depends if you have a laptop or not though.

Buying the cable and doing it yourself is the way to go ...... then if you want to flash back to stock before dealership service ....it's a couple clicks away.

Yep.... Vince is awesome about doing stuff for his customers. For instance .... he's changed a few things for me for no charge even thou I offered to pay .... great guy.

I like the idea of getting updates to my tune. How do you know if there is an update for the tune? Do you get an e-mail notifying that there is an update to the tune?

no...

being that if you log your car, it'll most likely be a custom tune, there won't be any "updates"...

if you add most mods, and log, he'll update your tune free... now something like swapping turbos in which he'd have to build a whole new tune, he'll charge for that... and understandably so

I asked Vince to give me the older boost ramp in tables and he was really cool about that .... just warned me about the clutch , which was why he changed them to begin with ....so it was easier on the stock clutch.

Other little things like fan temps ..... my fans were running too much for me when they were set at 198f .... so he gladly put me back at 200 where they hardly turn on anymore . He is really cool about doing it and I offered to pay him each time but he wouldn't take it ...... he really does out of his way to please his customers.

The nice thing about the cable is I have 3-4 different variations of Vince's tune's that I can flash as i need to . 1 has the newer boost ramp in .... and another has my stock tune with trifecta for the combo tune ..... and then another that has trifecta/ GMstage1 for the combo .
