x2!!! I was happy when I ordered the tuner, but even happier when I got it installed, and the happiest once I drove the car.

Yeah my younger Brother didnt know what he was getting himself into either. He has an SRT-4 with intake, catless DP with e-cutout, tranny mount, motor mounts, lowering springs and a block off plate, and his car is pretty fast, just needs to be tuned, but he is waiting til he is done with his mods first. Anyways, once he rode in my tuned SS/TC, he said it was pretty nice and he enjoyed it, now 2 of his friends wanna ride in it now, LOL.

I have this tune and just went to a dyno and for some reason it runs kinda lean from about 3500 - redline. Just to let you know. If you want proof I can scan my dyno logs later

So was it that bad? And are you now displeased with your tuner?

yeah kinda. I mean it's not that bad. It just dips down a little bit and gets worse as it continues to go to redline. The place I dynoed at said it is costing me about 10 hp from running lean at the top end. THe dyno line goes up like a mountain then all of a sudden flat lines at the top and the A/F ratio goes lean

How lean? The test car the tuning was developed on is running 12.2-11.9 A/F and that is quite rich for a DI car. The dyno operator may be under the assumption that your car should be 11.5 A/F for max power but this is not the case because of the efficiency of DI. Stock tune on these cars is 15.5 until 4500 then goes to 14.2 at 5000 and 13.4 at redline just to give you an idea of how lean DI cars run.

That flat line you are seeing is it at lets say 5600 rpm or so? If so it usually becasue the stock turbo is running out of air and the fuel system is running out of injection window time look at my dyno sheet in my gallery it does exactly that and I can assure you it is not leaning out up there on mine.

flat line starts at 5300rpm and from 5000rpm to redline is just sticks at 12.0 A/F. Is that normal?

well there are two reasons one as stated before this is a DI engine. Also yes you could get more power probably but then you run into a large amount of problems such as clutch slippage being way to much, also screwing up the cat because you are dumping massive amounts of unburnt fuel into the exhaust stream, Trifecta and clear image auto wanted to develop and tune that would be reliable and that people would be happy with without breaking things, if you want your tune to be more rich for which reason i don't know then you could contact Vince and he will hook you up

What kind of numbers are you getting on the dyno with just the tune and nothing else? I'm really thinking about getting it but i have never messed with a tune before, i would get the data cable as well so i could put it back to stock. Is it just a plug and play thing and you follow the directions? And also what about flashing it back to stock is it through the tuner and has a file like "Stock settings'? Thanks in advance.

Also do we keep the GT Tuner? Like the access port's for Subaru?

Today was a very busy day. Beth fell a bit behind and I was either bending tubing, packing boxes or picking up parts. I was barely in the office. Beth will contact you tomorrow.

Thanks again for all the orders everyone.

Do you still have the GT Tuner? if so, send Vince a data log and have him look at it. If an adjustment needs to be made he can send you an up-date tune. Though I would be surprised. Your AF ratio appears fine, BUT, I am not the tuning expert, Vince is.

Thanks for the feedback.

12.0 is very rich for a DI car usually 12.5-13.0 is generally used for max power. This is not a regualar port injection car. You are not losing any because you are not running lean but you maybe a little too rich IMHO. That could be costing you a few HP but it is safer than being too lean.
