I used to own a 99 GT convertable and it was about the same quickness as the TC stock. After tuning there is a big difference in power though on the TC.

I know MPG isn't the main concern with a tune especially when you first get the tune (I'm sure it's decreased), but has anyone noticed a a difference in MPG after the novelty has worn off and you are back to normal driving?

Mine is the same 30.5 average in winter 32.5 average in summer. Mix city and hwy. A tune really should not decrease your mileage or increase it becasue the parameters (airload, fueling timing) that are changed effect the car at greater than 50% throttle anyway.

You must have modded your 99 GT because it really isnt a match for the SS/TC, stock for stock.

Damn, I average between 18-22mpg, all City driving, with about 10 stoplights between my house and work. It just depends on if I'm showing someone new the car, or feel like getting on it a time or 2, LOL.

ok so I have another question. Why with a trifecta tune, catless synpase dp, hahn-catback, dejon intercooler piping, and dejon intake am I only getting 287 whp and 324 wtq on a dyno? And yes it is a dynojet btw. I know all dynojets are going to have different numbers but that is REALLY far away from what other people are getting. I'm confused

i am also running an atmospheric BOV on my dejon intercooler piping but I don't think that would cause me to be off by 50whp from everyone. hmmm I dunno. I thought maybe a vacuum tube was loose or something but it all seems solid

It could be that they dyno shop doesn't have everything configured correct, cause we all are getting around the same numbers

it was smoothing 5 and STD numbers too. I dunno much about dynoing so I have no clue what that means. If i wasn't out of town right now I would show you the dyno sheets

why does everyone keep comparing the cobalt to a mustang. I beat the new one and the old ones stock for stock all the time.

I want to know how well it does against evos and stis (dont get many round these parts) I know it beats the speed3 and the srt4.

Both run around 14.0 in the QM and mine did have full boltons and a tune It ran 13.8 at 104

STD is technically uncorrected, SAE is corrected, so his numbers are very low I made 307 whp without those boltons

Those numbers are very low I wonder why? I made 307 whp on just a tune, but that was on 93 octane though. I think that makes about 15 whp difference.

Nope, custom dyno tune but the results should be pretty similar. Except if you are on 91 octane expect to see around 280- 290 whp with just a tune.
