Mustangs arent just like the SS/TC, but until you get them tuned, they dont run much faster than stock. You might knock off a couple tenths or add 10rwhp, but with a tune you can knock off .4-.5 tenths and add 25-30rwhp.

From a roll I think my SS/TC would take my Mustang, but from a dig I would give it to my Mustang all day long.

I was wondering with a tune if the torque starts to drop off at 5000 rpms is it a good thing to shirt at like 5000-5500 instead of redline.

You got to remember torque is what gets you started but horsepower is what keeps you going, so it is ok cause the horsepower peaks in that area, so i shift at 6k

Dude, dont do that to your poor clutch. Unless you want to spent $1200 on a new clutch and flywheel.

Are clutches and flywheels really that much for our car? I paid like $400-500 for a new clutch and flywheel on my Wifes 2000 Celica GTS a few years ago. Jesus Christ that is way too expensive.

A spec stage 3+ clutch with an aluminum flywheel comes to around $1100. It is like $700 for the clutch alone.

It should if you take it easy most of the time. Do not use WOT in the higher gears in the lower revs you are asking for it to start slipping. If you do go WOT in third wait until at least 3000 RPM first. 4th-5th wait until above 3500RPM.

Can you buy a clutch without buying the flywheel? I want to keep the stock flywheel because a lighter one will cause the engine to rev faster and spin the tires more so I want to keep the sotck, heavier one.

I have heard both stories. Some people have said that you have to change the flywheel when you change the clutch but others have said that you dont have to so I too am confused.

No it isn't people just didn't understand the difference between tuning a DI car and a port injected car

Actaully, It runs richer than a typical tune for a TC is 12.8 -12.5 A/F. Trifecta is 12.4-11.8 A/F which is quite rich for a DI car but it is a lot safer than the stock tune which is stupid lean.

Definately, My car had 3* of knock with the stock tune, and that was with 93 octane in the tank inagine with 91 octane. The knock was between 3000 and 4500 RPM where the A/F was 15.7. That is a lean A/F for a forced induction car DI or not.
