I love the tune.. not completely dialed in yet, and yet a ton of fun - and nice to hit a button and get that power when I want it! Pulling to pass someone and you need a bit more? Tap the button twice while under WOT and suddenly more power - its a seamless transition.

Smile Trifecta Tune

I finally received My Hahn DP today. Im getting ready for my tune. My question is does the tune eliminate the RPM Nanny which on my new SS TC? It seems to be set at 6000 ? Also which dual tune would be best for my 100 mile per week no winter car ? Mods include AEM dry filter intake, DeJon CP, Jennetty 3 inch CB, Hahn Catted DP,INGALLS STIFFY ENGINE TORQUE DAMPER , M&H Drag Radials. Clutch over the winter. Retired and having fun !!! Thanks for suggestions J.R. https://www.cobaltss.net/forums//ima...es/diespam.gif

Vince can set it where ever you want...I had him set mine at 7k although I shift at 6500...this leaves extra room for first gear which runs out so quickly (especially when both tires are smoking wildly lol) and keeps me from accidentally bumping into the rev limiter...

The stock rev limiter is set at 6300. With the trifecta tune, Vince can set it anywhere you'd like it, but I think generally he sends it to you with a 7000rpm rev limiter. I personally think that's a little high for these cars, that is just my oppinion. The power really nose dives after 6400 or so.

What do you mean "which dual tune"? His most recent selectable tune is customized for your car specifically especially after you send him your datalogs but there isn't like a level 1, level 2, or level 3 (just as an example) sort of canned tune that he gives you. Other than that is it really up to you what you want him to do.. If you want something a little more modest as far as power, ask him to tame down the tune a bit.. you want something a little more crazy, then ask him to hook you up with a mild infiniboost tune.. The sky is the limit with Vince .. Once you speak with him he can explain it alot better and more in depth..

If you're looking to push the envelope then maybe look into vince's infiniboost tune.. i'm tuned with the infiniboost but i went a little conservative so i don't kill my turbo.. i push 24-25psi instead of the 30 that he can get out of it.. car pulls like a banchee

That might be the way for me. Has anyone used slicks with the tune ? Ive got the Micky Thompson 18 inch ones. DOT Drag Radials with the soft compound. Im going to take it easy and leave at 3500 or so at first and work my way up.

yes there is a guy on here with only a few bolt-ons and a trifecta tune using bike slicks running 12.7s or so.. i think you'll find out really soon that you won't want to launch at 3500.. you will smoke the tires off even with slicks (with the tune that is).. try 2000rpms first and trust me when i say this, **** the launch control especially with the tune...

I would think so. It would just be a matter of raising the launch control cutoff RPM to the regular cutoff RPM. It would still say launch control, but it effectively wouldn't be there anymore.

Sounds logical. Im also thinking of going to 60 Lb injectors. Do they have them for th 2009 TC ? Should I get them before the Tune ?

Nobody currently makes injectors for the LNF, so you just saved yourself some money it seems.

Stockers are 122 lbs/hr at 2000 psi but they are limited by a very short injection window.

$350 normally. A lot of us got in on the CAI group buy for their intake and the tune ($300 for the tune).. Unfortunately due to issues sourcing the couplers, we have the tune but no intake .

Hey guys, I have a quick question. I am rocking a stocker 08 with a K&N cold air intake. I am ordering my trifecta tune very soon, but I was just wondering how much boost I can *Safely* run. I know people say Vince is running ~28 psi on his HHR, but I just wanted to know what I should set my boost to. I do not want to experience any issues with CELs, clutch slippage, etc. Any info guys would be greatly appreciated.

On my '09, I've noticed 0 clutch slip except for one time when I tried to make it slip (to see where the threshold was). It didn't slip until just below 3k RPM while flooring it in 5th... and only a small blip and it grabbed again. I've got ~23k miles on it too.

That being said, your driving habits, mileage, and city/highway mix will make that a bit different.
