trifecta tune slipping gears
If you have one tune with TM set to 100% in all the groups throughout all 5 gears it is of course going to wear out your clutch beyond all hell. With smoothing out the TM and other necessary tables to a slow boost ramp, you will have less wear and less slipping.
email trifecta and say you want a super tune all power on right away, thats what you get
emails trifecta and say you want a somewhat conservative tune thats what you get
either way, you lug the car it will kill your clutch.
OR... The new tune was better for wear and tear on the car. Meaning everything up top was the same but it was tuned more conservative down low. A boost ramp can do multiple things for wear and tear of a clutch. Torque management, Air load, and other factors come into play, but do we need to get technical?
I had a trifecta tune for 4 months and mine got shot to hell. I beat the hell out of my car too. Who cares though. It's a car and **** breaks and they make replacement parts everyday all day.
I cant take anything m33pm3pp says serious though. The dude has a quote from the almighty CCSS3 and his wonderful spelling and sentence structure. Bravo to you.

Now, that quote from css3 was actually in reply to me about trifecta being a reliable tuner about 2 years ago. He was obviously butthurt and banned I think less than a year ago? Regardless, everyone sucked his **** like they do the "new" hp tuners for cobalts right now, nothing changes around here and I'm sure the trifecta/hp debate will go on until the dawn of time.
Sorry for the poor grammar and sentence structure, I don't have all the time in the world to proof read everything at work. Apparently it's good enough to understand what I'm saying though.
Either way, he's happy with his hp tune because it suited his driving style and mod.
Sounds like a driver mod, clutch slipping in 4th and 5th tells me you are mashing the gas below 4000rpm, which anyone is told not to do in high powered cars.
Just because your hp tuner tuned out all your power to hit above that doesn't mean its trifectas fault, but good try.
