I go to school in Lima, OH. Attending UNOH, we have our own dyno's. I was wondering if someone would like to come to my school and tune me on the dyno. I can get on the dyno from 1pm to 6pm monday-thursday. I am running a tune now but I am not liking the outcome of it.

 

Do you have access to HP Tuners? A few of us can work with you remotely if you do. I don't have any time off left from work to travel.

My old tuner is out of the game. I am going with Hp Tuners so I can learn to do this myself.

 

Well, it's a pretty steep learning curve, but many of us over on the HPT forum will assist. BYT has a pretty good thread to get you started but the hardest part is setting up the software to log what you need to see.

 

I'll be in Avon Lake towards the end of this month, I'd be happy to drive out and show you the ropes a little bit. I'm pretty new to the whole tuning thing, only been doing it a couple months now but I'd definitely be down to show you what I know.


EDIT: The LNF is a great engine to learn on, not a ton of tables to work with.. Can't do as much, but also can't mess as much up, with only a few tables it makes it that much easier to learn, cause its freakin' complicated as is. If you do a lot of reading and think about it day and night, you start getting some understanding on it.

 

By far out of all the softwqre I've used to tune. Hptuners is by far the easiest to learn

 

I have messed with it before not like I am totaly new to the whole thing. I also took a class at my college involving tuning, dyno's, and port and flowing cylinder heads. I just havent had the money to buy hpt yet just wondering if someone would like to help. BUT I think I shall buy it soon and link with someone as said in 1 response.
