There is no 3rd gear, but there is a 6th, and our car only has 5 gears... Does this mean that 4th=3rd, 5th=4th, and 6th=5th?

Anyone have a clue? I am emailing HPtuners as well.

4th is actually 3rd gear, and likewise, 5th = 4th.

This is common knowledge.

 

seeing how there is 6 gears and there is values in the 6th gear, 3rd is most likely 4th like the other guy said.

probably a universal chart for a majority of cars.

no ****. but, some values are suppose to be or are the SAME so changing 4th will change 3rd ect... get what I mean?, now it may or may not be true, but a logical explanation.

WS is right. This was discussed a while back.

 

my cars had three trannys now i think, badbaltguy blew one from nls, and i blew one from shifting into third from secondand i was not nlsing or speeding i was daily driving. but i seen what op said, hptuners is smart and basically deleted it because they knew 3rd would never hold up. lmao ha ha ha ha

Looks like 1st is the only thing that *matters* in that table anyway....aside from the obvious on labeling the columns.

 

Not to me, I spend more time at norotors.com than here... The cobalt is my DD, the LS1 RX7 is my toy.

And yeah, it doesn't really matter, I am just a curious person.
