Turbo Build upgrade!

ok so i just droped off the car at a local shop called Treadstone Performance and they are going to installed a custom turbo kit that they are looking forward on re-sale...this are the the parts that would be on the kit:

Precission Turbo
Tial Wastegate
HKS SSQ Blow off valve
Cast Tubular Manifold
Downpipe will be 304 stainless
Aluminom Intercooler pipping
Aluminom Intake
Intercooler core made by them

and we will be working with Vince at trifecta Performance for the tunning set up with the fuel issue solved by him.

Looking for numbers to be around 480-550WHP depending on how much boost.

Let me know what you guys think about this set up!!
Thanks!

once we are done with all the production, the kit would be around $3500-$4000
the only problem right now that i have is that im spending my money on this right now but i dont have enough money for the clutch....

ill work something out to get it before the finish building it....i got a month to save up....

I too feel a dissapointment will be had.

You may want to add, pistons, rings, ported head and valvetrain...

PM badbaltguy or whatever his name is... he is barely over 360-380 with his setup.

I just did a 28R swap on mine and am finding all these problems now... Just a friendly headsup

A proper tune is 1/2 the battle... Poorly tuned engine, no piston can take it.

Then you get to a point where you do need internals. IMO 300 HP + on most 4 cyl should start considering better internals.

zzp made I think a 2nd fuel rail of sorts to get more fuel in as the stock pump wasnt doing what they wanted. Also they used nitrous if Im not mistaken. They wont release any more info about it until further testing etc.. they said some time Q1 2010 I think.

You will seriously be disappointed, theres a glass 400whp wall with the way current tuning and parts are. Its the same in the MS3 world..well they recently had a break though and have 450-500+whp now...

i dont know about the nitrous but they installed a 2nd fuel rail cuz they havent unlocked the fuel tables while in the other hand Vince has.... which he is going to tune the car and the kit will come with Vinces' tune....

i would have suggested doing the research on ecotec's before u go spending this money, from what iv read from ur posts is. u dont seem to kno too much (which is fine). i did alot of research before i rebuilt my motor and turbo swapped it. and u will see dissapointment on hitting tht goal. u should set it more realistic. and reliable.

like what are ur goals for this car? daily driver? track car?

hope u got money set aside for **** that breaks.

im close to 15 grand spent and im not done yet.

not trying to b rude, just giving u some heads up before u bury urself

why?

Your stock head is going to mean 50-60 whp less than you think probably. There are other factors that are going to hold you back as well. Your clutch is going to die very quickly at anywhere near those power levels.

That ported head made a 38 whp difference with the stock turbo. I would imagine it makes easily a 60 whp difference with the big turbo. The intake ports on the LNF head flow less air than the intake ports on a stock LSJ head.

I agree except that I think the LNFs internals should be good up until at least 400 whp as long as the tune is good and the pressure levels are reasonable. Anything above 25 psi is pushing it.

^^^this is the guy that is doing this kit... i mean the tune we will talk to vince on making it very soft while i get the pistons and clutch.... most likely im getting the clutch first hense im going to daily drive it for a while.... which means probably no more than 400-410whp until i get the pistons and any supporting mods...
please if anyone else has more information please let it out! it would be VERY helpful!

that is true....

the goals for this car is to try to make it a daily driver with a good amount of power (450whp-550whp) thats why i would love to have some extra info on what other mods would i need to complete this build.... any help would be VERY appreciated
