HPTuners is a tool. The responsibility lies in the hands of the user in all cases. Selling an un-tested product or giving advice on how to mod parts that could potentially cause problems would be irresponsible.

I have plenty of good information and advice to offer you in this matter. I read this thread with interest in what you are taking on. However, when there are unfounded accusations and false information posted about us in this thread, I am forced to respond to it in this thread.

Thanks for all the help and i understand that you want people to hear you and see your point of view and respect you as well because for now YOU are the ONLY LNF cobalt out there with over 450whp and the ONLY one that has reached the 530whp range... so for all the HATERS out there, STOP HATING AND START RESPECTING CUZ HE HAS ***** TO DO THIS!!!!

Matt please throw out all the information that you think would be helpful in order to do this build the right way...
Thanks!

You do have to give it up to ZZP. I started out not caring too much for them. Slowly but surely, They have taken these platforms to higher levels like they said they would. Ive gone from a disbeliever to what ZZP claimed they can do, To being completely proved wrong. I dislike being wrong, but im glad ZZP has been able to keep good on thier word. Keep up the good work fellas.

Thanks for the nice words. We really do try to avoid the battles and pissing matches on the forums. However, we were met with such resistance right from the start by a select few that it pretty much forced a lot of others to takes sides. Of course that was detrimental to our business when very few Cobalt owners believed in us. I can now say that has all changed and we are doing well in the Cobalt market.

Good luck card, and keep us updated, I'm interested to see the cast manifold that they come up with for you. I read the whole thread, and I may have missed it, but have you decided on which turbo you'll be running yet?

And PrincessTurbo, do yourself a favor and step away from the keyboard.

So were taking a toll on our up and coming turbo kit for the 08 Cobalt
Turbocharger; Precision, Turbonetics, or Garrett
wastegate; Tial, Turbonetics, or Turbosmart....
Blow off valve options?
Open dump tube option? Reroute into exhaust, or both?
Cold air intake, or short ram intake?
Cats in the downpipe, no cat, or give the option.
3" Hi flow cat back exhaust system
Injector, and fuel pump upgrade for kits over 400whp?

let us know what you think

~jason

all 3 turbos are great pieces
you can never go wrong with a nice TiAL wastegate
the new TiAL Q, option to recirc or go atmospheric
open dump tube option
cai or short ram option
catted or catless option
deff a 3 inch exhaust
and whatever is needed to provide proper fueling at the power level. currently i dont know of any aftermarket injectors for the LNF turbo cobalt

Of course I would love to see injectors and a pump. Other than that I have no specific opinion.
