Well guess who's car just joined the "mystery turbo flutter out of nowhere" club... Mine! Took the Forge off and cleaned it up, lubed it well and still the same problem. I'm thinking it's the lower TMAP because I've been having intermittent problems and the P0236 code come up ONLY when I've driven in rain...

Man, that sucks!!!
They replaced my 2 harnasses this time(5th time in the shop for this) and said that if there was any kind of elect. leak it would trigger limp mode and flutter.( i think they are guessing now never have shown me a faulty part) The regional boss was there that day so he got involved so we will see. It has not acted up yet but took awile last time too. I think if they would talk to gm performance then they may figure it out. I tried to get ahold of them but hit a brick wall at GM corp. office. I know it is not the Forge BPV since it did it before and after i replaced it. So far they re- soldered the wires, replaced map sensor, boost sensor,2 harnesses, i did the forge BPV, and they re-flashed it. Now I have a clutch master cylinder on order for the creak in the clutch. will it ever end?
PM me if you want your dealer to talk to my dealer maybe they can help each other? Nothing like comming up next to a honda and only having 5psi.
keep me informed.
good luck.

Creak in the clutch is most likely the pedal assembly itself. Mine does that when cold out. Some people lube it and it goes away for awhile.

so even with a forged BPV your car is still fluttering? I just ordered a BPV to replace stock to see if mine stops fluttering. If it continues then I'll look at the sensors to see if thats the problem as well. Didn't even think about the wires. Good thread though, like seeing what others are doing to fix the flutter.

I had lubed it and does it regardless of temp. It is only noticable when clutch is let in and out SLOWLY. It is the punger part in the master cylinder so we will see.

Yea, the flutter was happening before the BPV and again after so that was not the problem. I am glad I replaced it anyway even if it did not fix the problem after seeing how cheap the stock one was.

ya I've taken the stock BPV apart to see it it was the problem. I looked at my sensor and it looks like it could use some upkeep lol. So I'll see what the dealer can do about sodering and sealing it well.

That's the funny part, my car's got 43xxx miles and NEVER fluttered. I've had the Forge on for a few months now w/ no problems. This all started when I ran over road debris (couldn't avoid it, grr) which ripped out the front pass. side fenderliner. Looks like when I was driving up from Etown (day before hurricane Irene hit) the rain that I was driving in got the wiring wet (I'm assuming). I've since replaced the fenderliner to avoid having this happen again, but I've been having erratic problems since. Ironically enough, happens every Friday for the past 3-4 weeks like clockwork, it's creepy. Once I get my hptuners setup I'm flashing it back to stock and paying my dealer a visit.

Later

well, its been awile since they replaced both my harnasses and so far no flutter!!! yipeee. I had them replace clutch master cylinder and the creek was gone for awile now the new one is doing it! SOB!! If it not one thing its another. Back to the dealer soon. It must be a design flaw.

I hear ya. Mine is stock and flutters every time it rains out. Are you sure you arent sucking up water? I know I clean my mass air flow sensor right after it rains and it runs good as new. I will probably order a hydroshield soon to help with this issue somewhat.

Yup. The lower TMAP wiring shorts and causes ghost pressure readings to the ECM, which then sends a signal to open the BPV. It wasn't the faulty of GM, it was the fault of the technician who originally wired your GMS1 sensors in. Now, CED offers adapter harnesses where you don't have to splice the original harness. Solves all these issues, which are actually human mistakes.

I never got cel's either. I had replaced my BPV durring my flutter problem with the Forge one and that did not change anything and still would flutter. Like I posted the wire harness was my problem but since I see you have a tune and not the GM1 I would assume your harness was not messed with.Good luck I know how much it sucks when this is happening. Keep us posted.

I'm having the same issues and am assuming it's the GMS1 lower TMAP. I took it to the dealer last weekend (hour and a half drive) and they said they can't do anything without a new pigtail connector (sigh). I ordered one, and I'm going to take it back to them and get them to redo the wiring.

When you say you got them to "replace the whole wiring harness" what do you mean? I'd like to use those plug and play connectors, but since the wires are already spliced I can't do anything about it anymore. If you replace the entire harness can you then use the plug and play connectors from CED?

They were running out of ideas on what was making the car flutter so the told me they just replaced the wire harness with a new one. I don not know anything about the CED but I would assume that unless it is a GM part they may not honor it.
Maybe SSlobalt can better answer this question. Maybe your dealer can connect with my dealer to tell them what exactly fixed mine.

The stock BPV can't stick. It's going to either work, or not. If your stock BPV flutters, the Forge isn't going to fix it.

I agree with Wangspeed. I am just glad i replaced my BPV with the forge seeing how "cheap" the stock one was. I think it was a worth while upgrade. I have heard of the stock ones having a crack or tear.

I'm 100% Stock and I've ran into the choke/flutter issue a few times since I've owned it. Generally on long trips on highways at full throttle. Maybe 3 times since I've owned it for almost 2 years. If it happened more frequently I'd worry about it more.
