CCS3 I sent him the log, Just waiting back for an answer. I still don't see why it would be temporary. I feel like a boost leak would be constant.. Yet it comes and goes as it pleases.

Posted in response to another similar issue... I had this problem and it ended up being one of the wires going into the MAF plug. It would come and go for a few months then eventually it was a constant issue. Started with P0101 then ended up with all 3 MAF codes.
Just a counterpoint

Yep - new pigtail connector from the dealer was $26. Just soldered it in - the wires are quite a bit more substantial than the stock one, i think the stock wire is 22awg and the new one is 18awg. Mine started failing more and more as I tried to diagnose the problem (removing the intake multiple times to boostleak check, changing plugs, etc) Until it finally went completely bad.
I used an OBDII scanner from ebay and the Torque app for android to look at the sensors and AFR timing etc as this issue had been driving me nuts for a few weeks. Then one day when the problem raised its ugly head I saw that the MAF reading was pegged out at 5000+ CFM as soon as you touched the throttle, then would drop to zero when I let off. I was about to buy a new MAF or take it to the dealer so the little scanner came in handy and I think it was only $11 for the adapter and $5 for the app.

Yeah I'm using VCM Scanner but I'm using a config file from the tuner to log to send to him, I'll be honest in saying I have no clue what I should be looking at.. I got the problem actually happening on my log now, as it just happened to me on my way to breakfast lol.

I dont know what he would be looking for in the logs (i'll admit i am pretty noobish with this stuff) but I would assume the MAF reading would be in there. If it happened while you were driving and it is a wire on the MAF then the values will probably spike pretty high.
If he's not logging that im sure it can be enabled for logging next time you talk to him.
For the time it takes I would definately do a leak test while you are waiting on him to get back to you. There is a good write up somewhere on here on how to make one with PVC from home depot for cheap and it works great. Just need a compressor and I monitored the leakdown on the stock boost gauge.
I had a pretty serious leak (only holding 5psi, wouldnt hold more than 12psi off my compressor then leaked down to 5psi in about 5-10 seconds after the compressor was removed) and even after fixing it I continued to have the codes. However that leak didnt seem to cause trouble codes or any issues at all as the culprit of the leak was a cheap BOV from ebay I was using to block a hole in my cheap ass ebay IC piping - it ran fine (aside from my turbo working overtime most likely) and never threw any codes at all in that state until the wires went south. Like i said my situation was driving me insane and I was convinced my car was fucked haha.

Haha well I just got a revised tune and I've been logging on and off for about 3 hours, doing everything I could thing of to cause the problem to happen, but nothing is happening. Boost leak test was done, didn't see/hear anything out of the ordinary. Car is now working fine again lol.. I will let you all know if it comes back!

I have this same problem with PO101. Logged it, sent it to trifecta, they said probably intercooler leak. I took off the intercooler found no cracks. Is the drip bar sopossed to be on loose? I also have a whinning sound under boost.

Do you think the high pitch whining sound ia the leak? Or bad turbo? Only have 16000 miles. I also have Injen charge pipes with bigger couplers. I know those aren't leaking. Has to be intercooler. I'll have a place pressure test the intercooler.
