What the title says. On an 06, if you had recaro seats you had an LSD, so what guarantees it on an 09 without looking for G85 in the trunk?

There is no "G85" on the trunk man...

You just have to check your options... I had mine shipped from Michigan to here....

I wanted a white sedan with lsd, and usb.... so I made sure I got one.

 

IN the trunk, and yes there is. I guess that's where I will have to check, this will be used not new so I can't just check a box.

 

There isn't anything visual like the old recaro package . If you need me to check some vin's in your area let me know ..... I know what it was like looking for my car ..... If i didn't have GMVIS to decode vin's i would have been pulling my hair out .

I had to call on one car cause the vin wasn't listed.... and if you've ever talked to a salesperson about an SS/SC or TC ..... you know they are clueless about these cars .

 

I went to check one out a few months ago, the guy didnt even know they were turboed. I was teaching him **** about the car instead of the other way around.

 

The only real way is to either write the vin down and look it up, or ask the sales guy to pop the trunk for you to look at the mat. There also may be a note about it on the window sticker.

 

^^^Yup, window sticker will have it under options, or look at the sticker in the trunk next to the sub. There's a whole list of build options and codes on it, look it see if G85 is listed there somewhere. I believe you can also look at the code stamped on the trans, but don't know exactly what you would be looking for.

 

I did my car through a dealership trade program, were dealers trade cars to one another for what the customer is specifiably looking for. My last two cars 03 SRT-4 and 07 SS/SC both I thought had LSD and both didn't. So I made sure I looked at that list and make sure the first thing I get on a car is an LSD. So I'm happy I got what I wanted like what color do I want and what options do I want to have. So there is no guarantee these cars come with LSD in stock from factory; its an option. Thank you Jeff Gordon Chevrolet. If you want to check to see if your car has LSD, do a burn out and see if the lines are straight as an arrow, if not then you have no LSD. Just make sure there are no witnesses.

 

It will say on the original window sticker LSD atleast my 08 said it otherwise id say to look up the vin

 

Doing a burnout doesn't show if you have lsd or not. Even without it you can still lay down 2 strips of rubber. It doesn't do a whole lot in a straight line, it is useful to put power down while cornering. Just look at the window sticker or in the trunk. If you get it and find out later it was advertised to have it on the window sticker but doesn't have it and you were charged for it, that's fraud.

 

Look on the tranny housing I am sure it should say LSD and **** after that .

 

If you can take turns as fast as me then your on LSD!

 

it was just a suggestion, you'll notice if one tire is dragging ass than the other is doing all the work. ya hard corners is a plus, but I just look up your sticker, which is the easiest from what I recommended.
