What kind of gains can I expect?

Hey, guys. I'm going to get a 3" catback and charge pipes from ZZ Performance. My question is what kind of gains can I expect from the 3" catback and what kind of gains can I expect from the charge piping, if any? Other than durability over the stock charge pipes, do the aftermarket charge pipes really do anything to better overall performance?

Gains will be too small to notice, maybe a few HP, our stock exhaust flows pretty well once you ditch the cat. The 3" will be a nice sound mod though.

If you relocate the MAF to the ZZP lower CP and tune for it, the rich spike at throttle roll in is gone, no more long lag in the inlet air tract between the MAF & the engine like there is with the stock MAF location.

That sounds like a worthwhile upgrade! Also, seeing that ZZ Performance' charge pipes also have an option for a 50mm BOV, would that be beneficial to me utilizing the stock turbo or would that be a waste of time and a ricer-ish thing to do?

to be honest, if you want that bov sound just buy an intake. im sure a loud bov would get annoying quick.

The wires to the MAF are long enough to fish back out of the loom that goes across the front of the engine or you can buy an extension harness. The MAF mounts in the lower charge pipe right below the throttle body.

My fuel trims had to be adjusted -7% (about the same as a Dejon SRI) compared to stock for the relocate plus some fine tuning under load & at idle in the correction table. I'm pleased with it, but if you are considering meth, don't relocate it. You have to spray the meth into the lower cp and the MAF would get wet.

As far as a BOV, I'd pass. The stock BPV works fine.

Once tuned for the relocate, you can stick any intake on it you want with no further trim changes.

Do I have to relocate my MAF sensor to do a BOV upgrade or can I do it without relocating the MAF sensor? I like the BOV sound, so I may do it.

I'd def relocate it for a BOV so you don't measure all the air that is going to vent and whack out your fuel trims every time it pops.

Yeah, I wasn't thinking when I asked that question, bro. LOL! Thanks for the input. I'm still on the fence on whether or not I want to get the regular charge pipes without MAF relocation or BOV flange or if I want to get the charge pipes with those options. I'll think about it some more, but either way I'm getting those damn charge pipes! I'm not so sure about the 3" exhaust though, as it sounds like more of a sound mod than an actual performance mod.

read more on the forums about this. some people have issues, some dont. It can be a very touchy modification...

If you want just a blow off sound, get a k&n and you can pssst off all you want.
