when 'good tunes' go bad......
30odd. You gonna meet with that tuner (byt) or what?? Get that checked out... And get that cat warm up delete switched back to stock!!! Man didn't you tell the tuner you had a stock dp?? I mean why would you have that on your tune?? Let us know the outcome cuz my buddy knows a hp tuner guy around here and I wanna know what's up with your tune before I get mine
26 psi blowin up ? I thought lnf could take 30psi...
yes its possible it could be nothing or maybe ur new plugs. but tuners aren't above making mistakes. hopefully if they do make one they correct it on the spot and do another pull and smooth evrything out before you take off. i can say from some experiences that there are few tuners that, to put it mildly, can be total dicks. they rush your tune, get pissed if you ask too many questions and sometimes arent the most organized people out there> (forget appts, are super late, etc) thats just freaking plain truth. and if you happen to post anything negative about ur tuning experience with them, they will chime in and respond with, "i told you to call me if you had any problems or we can do more pulls to straighten things out". being totally civil and such, but ofcourse they are gonna be like that. They have all these potential customers on the forum reading every word they type. and if you happen to actually do that (call them up privately and voice concerns about the tune) well the response isn't always that civil over the phone!!
if ur that type of tuner, the heck with u. you deserve it and it will all catch up with you eventually and you will be the next software pariah. and yes the customers (car owners) can be ******* irresponsible liars too. every story has 2 sides.
i personally found that the best tuners are also MECHANICS. very rare. ......
if i were you, i would either meet with this tuner and do a few more pulls or just hush up and get a different tune if ur that worried

Hey I said nothing bad about you, i was just recalling the events of the day. I fully understood that **** happens and motors blow.
thats why i replaced it and am going back to you, hopefully we go a little bit more conservative this time:lol But yes, i went to BYT, I left with a blown cylinder number 1. It was a stock short block not a forged motor, 26 psi will do that sometimes.

And yes, Im obviously aware he had the stock DP, which is why I left the COT protection...Which is what you should be worried about and not cat warmup modes...
Do you understand what cat warmup does? Just because you have a stock cat doesn't mean you have to have the loud startup

All cat warm up does is change the exhaust VVT at startup so the hot combustion gases go into the cat to help warm it up faster. It doesn't hurt anything to turn it off. Cars for 30+ years have warmed up the cat just fine without VVT help.
I ran 30psi thru my car for 10k miles man, totally stock motor. You didn't even do a full WOT pull with my tune on the car... lol. The tune was plenty conservative at 15* timing and ,87 Lambda. I would prefer you stop making like I did something wrong here and man up to the fact your car showed up in terrible shape... The car already had a tune on it when you showed, it was soaked in oil and you freely admitted you drive the pants off it.
And i did have a trifecta tune on there for about a year, and the BYT tune was a great deal faster then the trifecta. The trifecta didnt pull past 6200, byt went straight to 7000 full power.
And we did do at least one wot pull... i remember i NLS'd on that bumpy ass road... Scary at night time over there.
