Where is the GM stage kit?
Ordered the Camaro today. Now putting the 'Balt up for sale. 2008 SS/TC 21k miles, PRISTINE condition. Muffler delete, K&N filter, SS floor mats, Enkei EKM3 black wheels and Hankook S1 Evo tires. Negotiations start at $20,000. Ownership cannot be taken until new Camaro gets here (i still need to go to work), but will adjust price accordingly from time deal is made until time car is delivered. I also have the stock wheels and tires that i used for autocrossing, if anyone is interested in them. send me a PM, pics can be provided upon request.
GL 20K on an '08 dude, not trying to be a dick either. Like another posted said, I paid less than that for my '09.
Hell I just took my bone stock always garaged 09 in the other day for *****/giggles to look at a Colorado. I've had it 4 months and it has 2800 miles. They offered me $18k, which is 500 under KBB excellent trade value.
It doesn't help that the dealer had 5 SS's on the lot, 3 of which were there when I bought mine March 5th.

The following is the message I sent to the GMTunerSource Forum. I have my doubts they will publish it so I thought I could get it off my chest here. If you don't like it there is always the "DELETE" button.

With Detroit muscle cars going the way of the dinosaur, GM has/had a chance with the Cobalt SS/TC, to grab a huge share of the American badged automotive marketplace once shared by GM, Ford and Chrysler before the far east thing. Todays buyer sre becoming more and more accustomed to seeing foreign badged performance compacts cars. The Cobalt couldn't have come at a better, or worse depending on how you look at it, time. The LNF powered cars were released at the very beginning of the financial melt down which allowed it to gain a toe hold on the "New Performance" car era. The young buyers could start RE-identifying with the Chevrolet name at a price they could afford and with fuel economy and agressive looks to boot. Then the **** hit the fan! All the promises had already been made and expectations set. The people were ready for a new AMERICAN muscle car. A car that broke the mold of all the performance compacts before it. With over the top engineering and a style that were equal to the true purpose of the car. PERFORMANCE! Zero to sixty and quarter mile times up there with some of the great V8 muscle cars of the past. And a record setting run around the Neurburgring in Germany blowing some very highly rated and expensive sports cars straight into the weeds. THEN the news of GM's Turbo Upgrade hit the forums. Talk about stirring the pot? Buyers that were happy with the car as it was were now going to get a WORLD class sports car that was even offered in a sedan (my car). People were lining up as if they were buying tickets to a Michael Jackson (well, SOME people) concert.
Then came the hold-ups. With the industry, and particularly GM's, money problems most of us could understand. Then more problems, mostly assumed to be with CARB, started causing anxiety. But I guess you don't get much from people getting paid with IOU's. I, personally, have tried to remain patient throughout. I already have my (worthless without the Upgrade) charge pipes and catted down pipe installed and waiting for the kit. I have missed TWO track days, one being at Pocono Speedway early last month. My brother and nephew were there with their EVO and Miata. My patience began wearing thin.
Then I read on the CobaltSS Forum about this "petition" to get the powers that be off dead center. Well here I am. And at this point I am accepting this as nothing more than more sorry excuses from a company that made promises to their loyal BUYING fans and not delivered anything more that LAME EXCUSES and BULL ****. I have already locked myself into this Cobalt, without regret, but have pretty much given up on any power upgrades. If you guys were the least bit serious about your jobs or GM's future there would have been, a long time ago, a couple of you working, even off the clock, on a project that will have long reaching effects on GM and the buying habits of future generations. I developed my love for Chevy, and ALL things GM, from my father and uncles which I bet is the way most, if not all, these others did. Do you think they are going to impress upon their kids the GM name and what it means, or meant, to them. I think NOT.
It's time to get off your collective asses and get this thing done before, if it isn't already, too late. Apply pressure where it needs to be applied. Put in some personal time if you really care about the long term viability of GM.
I didn't vote for the present regime in Washington and won't in the future. If there is a future. If GM can't make it on their own, and judging by your response to this upgrade, they don't deserve to make it at all. Least not with my unsolicited help in the form of tax dollar donations.
Not in my 65 years did I EVER DREAM I'd be be writing this letter. But I REFUSE to get on my knees for anything or anyone other than my God.
I doubt that this will make it to this forum so I will post it in the CobaltSS Forum as well.
Thanks for your time and GOOD LUCK on whatever you want to make of your future.

I like your post, and I'm sure it'll go up since they let mine heh.
I agree with being basically "locked" into the Cobalt. Financially speaking, I can't let go of this car for a LONG time. Mostly because this vehicle devalues like a used shoe and I'd say most of us knew that going into this. So if I'm going to have to drive this car literally into the dirt, at least give us the sensors + tune GM. You owe me that and I mean it, especially since we own 60% of you

Wow
Well said buellfooll. I hope that get's their attention. Maybe you should start a new thread with that letter and send GM the link to it so they can see how many people agree with what you wrote.

I feel that this "petition to GM" is something GMtunersource created to get people to join their website and frequent it.
It being completely redone not too long ago.
Its a website, just like any other, it has Ads, and the more people that visit/register on their site, the more money they will make off of them.
While not really thinking/Caring of how Cobalt owners would react, i would assume that this is why that post is up there.
I have a job,... a website with "complaints" isn't gonna change how i work.

Dude, if you don't take the post for face value then don't visit the site. No skin off my back. I have an LSJ and I have my stage kit.
GMTS is a voice that was created to give you guys an in, well as much as we can, into GM. If you don't take advantage of that, it's your loss.
buellfool - nice post
Excellent post blue. I agree, if this is real and GM is going to ask us to get on our knees and beg them then it is absolutely ludicrous. I have been waiting patiently for this stage kit because the last thing I want to do is void my warranty. If it comes out soon, I won't complain. Hell, if it comes out by the end of this year, I won't complain. But if it doesn't, then I'm going to be very, very unhappy, and I can guarantee my next car won't be a Chevrolet. In fact, if it doesn't then I'll be looking to get rid of my car and go the STI/Evo route as soon as I can. There are plenty of people waiting on this kit, wanting to support GM, but how can you continue to support a company that does not provide you with what you want/expect from them?
If anybody from GM reads this, we are all waiting...

Honestly, the LNF freaking rocks - especially in the Cobalt. Those who wait won't be disappointed and will be smiling ear to ear when this thing finally comes out. When that exactly is, we're pushing for sooner rather than later
Show me one ad and I'll give you all the revenue from them...

Its just a "petition" seems kinda like a way to get people to register, which again, i dont even have a problem with... just seems kinda off, ya know?
Oh, i wasn't attacking GMTS at all, in fact i like the site, i just remember hearing a while back about trying to start a seperate community, and i've seen the "advertise" link at the top of the page.

We are going to start a community but it will only serve as an addition to awesome sites like this and kind of create a central melting pot for you guys to have a voice inside the walls of GM.
The thing with registering is this. We want to have it enabled for OpenID, Facebook Connect, etc. for login options but at the present time, it doesn't work flawless enough to run on the site so we're using the default registration option which requires you to make an account.
This username will also serve as your name in the upcoming community also so it will make the site easier and nicer for everyone that visits it. Oh, yeah - no spam, ever. I hate spam, you hate spam, the only way you'll ever receive anything from GMTS via email is if you sign up for the newsletter on the homepage. We don't have it going out yet but it will be a recap of news, races, events, new products, etc when we finally do it.
Also, if any one of you guys sees something cool you want covered, have questions about anything (we know, stage kit, lol) please let us know, we're here to help you guys out as that is our final goal and purpose.
We're putting together something now for you.
I'm in Iowa right now though so it ain't get shipped out today, should be on it's way to you late this week.
