Where is the GM stage kit?
At this point in time, a final release date of the Cobalt LNF Turbo Upgrade Kit cannot be set because the CARB EO process is controlled by the state of California and not GM. GM is working very hard to get this finalized so they can quickly release the kit out to all the Cobalt owners that have been patiently waiting. CARB EO stands for California Air Resources Board Executive Order. This CARB EO allows GM to modify the current emission system on the Cobalt and to provide a new emission label & certification."
LMAO!!!
+1000!!
When they do FL I'm moving.
Gimpster - I just left Des Moines yesterday! I was there for a late model race in Fort Dodge but I was staying in Des Monies. That Jordan Creek Town Center is bad ass. I loved it up there.

I'm pretty sure there are at leat 13 other states that use california requrements. At least we know why GM can't release the kit yet. Between GM's bankruptcy and California's bankruptcy we're lucky it's even in the works. Be patient people! Remember that aftermarket manufacturers don't have to deal with red tape BS like CARB certification, and remember that GM needs to feel comfortable guaranteeing the drivetrain for 100,000 miles with this kit. So drink a beer, enjoy the nice weather, and buy the kit when it's ready. Or take your chances with an aftermarket kit and if your transmission explodes it's on you.

I feel that this "petition to GM" is something GMtunersource created to get people to join their website and frequent it.
It being completely redone not too long ago.
Its a website, just like any other, it has Ads, and the more people that visit/register on their site, the more money they will make off of them.
While not really thinking/Caring of how Cobalt owners would react, i would assume that this is why that post is up there.
I have a job,... a website with "complaints" isn't gonna change how i work.

Its not wheel horsepower....I just glanced over it in a minute and realized that. read more carefully. When he mentions the torque gain......
320-60 = 260. 260 = base torque.
[(320/260) - 1] * 100% = 23.08% increase.
When they talked about the torque increase, they referred to base torque. Why wouldnt they refer to the horsepower as base horsepower?
There is my answer. If you try to discredit it, you better have more substantial evidence than this.
corrected: That note they added at the bottom doesnt explain their math then.
The official numbers for the Cobalt SS LNF Turbo upgrade Stage 1 kit will stand at 280hp and 320lb.-ft of torque. That’s right, this ain’t no weaksauce kit. That’s an increase of over 60lb.-ft of torque! For you math geeks, that equals out to a 23% increase in torque
[(320/260) - 1] * 100% = 23.08% increase.
