who the fukk makes the best charge pipes!
Actually, Clear Image did dyno the performance charge pipe going over the valve cover vs. the other style that went around. It's in a thread from about 1.5 years ago. There was a few HP difference with the shorter one going over the valve cover being the winner.
lol nobody told me that, i bought it on black friday so couldnt ask any questions....so that is a powdercoat texture on it that can be sandblasted to a smooth finish?
We will do anything custom for customers. Of course, there would be a price increase and delay in shipping for a part that we don't stock.
I don't know how well it would sandblast. I have not tried that on one of our charge tubes.

If you send me an email or PM requesting something custom, I can get time and cost estimates for you.
Let me address a few things here.
The 6HP comment is probably referring to the dyno testing Matt did on our charge pipe. It made 6HP over stock. No one has dyno'd a tube going over the VC vs. one going around and it wouldn't make a difference in HP. We've dyno'd enough to know.
We have seen a lot of issues with charge piping. I believe it was a Hahn setup that came loose and broke off a piece of the fuel pump. I know this has happened to a few people but I'm not sure which model they were running. Other times we have seen other brands rubbing on the hood. The ZZP pipe is flawless in every way and backed by a company with a parking lot full of Cobalts to use if you need to call in and talk about any concerns you have.
The injen is similar to other injen parts and the quality isn't there compared to the other vendors. They have a popular brand name but that doesn't make them good. Most people are replacing clamps and couplers on them.
ZZP is supporting this market and we are the only company with employees who own Cobalts and race them. We hold every track and HP record because care has been taken to ensure each part we sell outperforms other options by just a little bit. This adds up to winning performance we make available to you, the customers.
Someone mentioned Clear Image and while Dan is a great guy and the products are good, you have to think about it as more than just a single purchase in these small markets. Dan hasn't logged in, in over 6 months and is done developing for the Cobalt. Sales to those companies are being used to fund development of other platforms.
When you have a choice for a similar part and choose ZZP, you are supporting the development of your market.
Only ZZP brings you so many custom parts, cutting edge innovations, and the products that you want at affordable pricing. We do this with the support you give us buying the parts we already have. Dual injector setups, upgraded turbo kits, E85 info/conversions, LNF cams, LNF transmissions, shift linkage upgrades and much more are developed solely by you supporting our company. The more sales we have, the more mods we can develop and the faster we can make them.
Thanks again for the support and we hope that when you have a chance you choose ZZP and choose to advance the development of your vehicle platform.
