ZZP Cams and Valve springs installed!

So a big thanks goes out to Vaughn/Japeatr for leading the charge on changing my out my stock cams and stock valve springs/retainers, to zzp cams/springs/retainers. This was Japeatr's first lnf car to attempt a cam/spring swap but I was not afraid lol. The only real issue we ran into was timing. We learned that the lsj bracket won't work on my lnf, because of vvt, but that didn't stop us lol Japeatr call Powell and wrote down specific instructions about the timing of an lnf, markings, ect. We started on saturday afternoon and ended sunday night, but we took our time to make sure everything was done properly and had a few big breaks in between. We also ended up installing 3bar map senors/harnesses. I have a lot of pics and had company from a few friends a long the way as well. When it first idled, the car sounded as if we never changed anything. It sounded smooth and stock which led us to believe that Japeatr got the timing down perfectly. My forge bpv and k&n sri kind of freaked them out(typical lsj guys ha) when I revved up on it so we shut it down and hooked up hptuners. I did initially have one cel but it turned out to be an unconnected o2 sensor so that was a relief. Japeatr began tweaking the tune when we took it for a drive but didn't change much yet as far as performance. The big change will be friday when we set out to due what I've wanted ever since Area47 tuned me on full E85 which is to run at 27psi without taxing the hpfp. I also wanna thank Bryan/Area47 for his beautiful yet crazy full E85 tune. A lot of people scratch their heads when they heard I was an lnf running on full E85, not E47. FYI, Jordan says your VE tables are super sexy haha. So yea, can't wait till friday for the real tuning changes but here are my mods and lots and lots of pics throughout this process.

My car:

-2010 Cobalt SS w/ G85 pkg
-LNF
-51,XXX miles
-Making payments for the next 5 years
-Had the car since Nov 2012, completely stock at 38,XXX miles
-Oil change(Amsoil) + seafoam every 3k miles
-Only tuned by Area47
-Tuned on Full E85 since April(maybe late march) and been through a harsh winter at Ft. Riley, KS(yes it snowed off and on, even in May)
-Used to drive a scion tc lmao

Notes on installation:

-Yes I know, my car is exremely dirty
-Why didn't I swap a powdercoated valve cover? Because I had more important things to worry about AND it's nice to be different, like my wheel gap haha
-Dropped my phone through the engine bay and landed face first in an oil pan covered in oil , so some pictures might not be that clear lol but is still works haha
-New belt, mine had numerous cracks
-Assembly lubed cams/adjusters/ect
-Oil changed before start up with amsoil/filter
-New stock plugs
-Lots of beer was involved, however we are not sponsored by miller lite
-Vaughn is the man
-Blake brought tacos

Current Mods:

Area47 tuned full E85 25psi(currently till friday)
ZZP stage 1 Comp cams
ZZP 82lb valve springs titanium retainers
3 Bar map sensors
ZZP intercooler package
ZZP down pipe
MPX catback exhaust
K&N short ram intake
Forge by pass valve
Powell yyz v2 springs
Powell hardcore rearsway bar
TWM short throw shifter w/ bracket and bushings
Powell stage 1 mounts

Mods in possession waiting to go on:

Koni front strut inserts
Koni rear shocks
Intake manifold ported/gasket matched
3.6 DI throttle body machined to match intake manifold
Phenolic spacer

Future mods:

Clutch
ZFR
Tubular/ported exhaust manifold
5th injector
F40 6speed transmission swap

I tried posting 43 pics which we're only allowed 25 so I'll see if I can post the rest in a comment

anybody know the j-tool PN for the VVT Ecotec cam gear retainer?

I have the J-tool for the on car valvespring service, and the LSJ cam Gear bracket, and the ecotec waterpump tool, want the one for LNF/LE5 as well

The throttle body and manifold aren't on yet, but hopefully it'll net some gains and not issues

I did it according to his needs, vaughns garage, his tools, his time, ect. He spent the whole weekend working on my car even though he had his wife and kid home. So don't try to put him on the spotlight because he wouldn't work on your car at your house. **** happens man, he has a life, get over it...
