Zzp downpipe

so just installed zzp catless downpipe and i am getting massive amounts of smoke from exhaust (oil) only when i idle, is there some kind of oil they put in the pipes or something car had no problems with stock pipes, but than again the cats could have filtered it hard to beleive though cuz there is alotaa smoke?

no that would smoke while driving too this only does it on idle, but anyways it had to of been some kind of coating on the pipe cuz i checked the compression. took intake and charge pipe of no oil or play in shaft checked with boro and its all good, it seems to be going away not as much smoke but its just odd i put over 20 miles on it, anyways sounds awsome great product from zzp!

Are you sure it's actually oil? What color is the smoke? What does it smell like? Running catless is definitely going to produce a whole lot more exhaust. When I first ran catless it scared the hell out of me. Make sure you get a tune for it as well.

Well usually when you install new exhaust pieces, they smoke a little at first while you "break them in" aka get them up to operating exhaust temperatures and burn off all the "newness" of the pipe lol I don't know how else to explain it. The same thing happened when I installed my ZZP exhaust stuff.

he means oil residue, finger oils and welding extras
