If you still feel that the brackets were made wrong, can you provide some details? You stated that you want us to address these issue, but how? We have installed dozens that fit perfect and never had to notch any holes. (aside from HHR that uses different brackets) Since you have a Cobalt, can you provide information about what would need to be addressed? Otherwise, what would we change? Not providing actual details just makes your posts look more like random crap talking and less like an actual attempt to help improve the product.

this is the bolt hole that we had to notch out with a dremel/drill probably a good 1/4 to 1/2 to the right side

we bolted everything up loose even tried to flip flop the brackets but this was the only fix that we could see like i said its not a HUGE deal just wanted to let you guys know...im not making a big deal of it or wanting my money back just wanted to show/let you guys know thats all

Which direction did you notch it? The pic doesn't show this close enough to tell. I can say that it is definitely not 1/2", though. That would be noticeable in the pic as it would not be a notch, but rather a new hole that you would have drilled.

Ok, we can see in the pic, that you didn't notch it anywhere close to 1/2". A 1/2" notch would have put the hole all the way to the edge of the bracket. Judging by the pic- I can see that the bracket is now tilted towards the center of the car slightly at the top end, which makes sense considering that you notched the bracket in the direction that would cause this. However, had you moved the steel bumper insert slightly to the driver side, there would have been no need to notch the bracket at all. From the pic, it looks like you notched the hole somewhere around 1/8", based on the angle of the bracket and where the bolt is in the pic. Since the lower holes are 4.375" apart and the upper holes intersect on a line which is 7.25" from the lower hole, notching the upper IC hole 1/8" could have been avoided by simply sliding the steel bracket over .21". Or you could move both steel brackets out .1" if that centered the IC better. Either way, no notching was required.

I already have the zzp upper intercooler piping but ordered the extra couplers because i thought i needed them well you dont...

secondly i had to dremel out the holes on the bracket for the intercooler to fit correctly

btw if you have a john powell tow hook mounted in the middle of your front bumper it will work but god damn its a tight fit

thirdly they give you a lil piece of silicone tube but if you have the stock cold aka lower pipe you wont need it apparently but damn its a bitch to get the lower stock cold pipe onto the intercooler

pictures will come later still uploading them...

anybody else with any of these same problems or am i the only one???

Mine fit perfectly I had no issues at all!!

Lol! brackets were off, Genuine saab told me it fit the automatics they lied. So I modfied/cut the crash bar and paid a shop to cut off/reweld the brackets on the IC to the right position, got it on the car and one week later one of the welds blew on the bottom of the endtank... took it back to the shop and got most of the welds redone and IC pressure tested. I wanted the zzp ic but it was in back order.

Did you have to drill one new hole in each bracket? I think that's what the extra holes are for. The brackets are interchangeable now.

4 years later I figure we can update the pics of these brackets in question.

They don't reach the Orginal holes. Not long enough to bolt up directly.

New holes had to be drilled to accommodate

The intercooler looks upside down. I just installed mine, and it fit perfectly, but mine is 180 from the way you have it in the pics.
