ZZP Intercooler

I am looking into buying ZZPs intercooler would you guys recommend the smaller size i do plan on putting coil overs on it and lowering pretty low. Does any one have pics of both.

Well I have the full size ZZP intercooler and I'm lowered on Eibach Sportlines, so not as low as coil overs could be set at, but I'd still say it's pretty low. Despite the horrible roads down here in Louisiana, I don't scrape the intercooler, even though it does hang down a little below the front lip of the car. As long as I go up steep inclines like driveways at like a 45* angle then it doesn't scrape. If I'm traveling at a normal speed over the average pot hole it doesn't scrap there either. Also, the smaller profile intercooler will have slightly less cooling ability I believe. Probably not enough to really make a difference, I'm not too sure though as I have never seen a log comparing temps between the two.

I have the full size. In the pic, you can see that it hangs below the lip by about 3/16". I am on stock suspension. I didn't scrape it in the year I've had the ZZP IC. My wife, however, managed to do it coming out of a parking garage. It didn't hurt it, though. I'd say go with smaller one if you're worried about it. Best intercoolers on the market, hands down. Best mounting setup of any of them. No rubbing at all............anywhere.

Get the shorter one. You don't need the massive one anyways.

I have the full sized IC from ZZP and Im lowered and havent scraped it once. ZZP has stated that if you damage the full size IC from bottoming out or what not they would replace it. Seen this posted on this site.

I have the full size and I'm beyond slammed. It's got a couple scrapes from leaving some pretty crazy garages/declines

We are working on another batch of intercoolers right now for both sizes. I misjudged the timeframe because we sold more intercoolers than I expected this spring.

Possibly. It wouldn't be my decision, though.

zzp is the best intercooler for sure, but get the full sized one. i have the smaller one and it is not as easy to mount as the full sized one. at least it seems that way to me...gl
