I'm having the same issue; When it doesn't start, I have to "play" with the clutch pedal a bit. I don't have this issue with the stock PCM at all.
Matt, if you're still monitoring this thread, do you guys see this more often at ZZP and if so what kind of solutions do you suggest?

Technically, all ECM swaps should have a clutch relearn procedure done. In most cases, it is close enough to work properly, but I would imagine there has to be some difference from car to car. Otherwise, the procedure would not exist.

Do you have instructions on how to do the clutch relearn? Or does anyone on here?

Oh, and needmocheese: we're still waiting on your account of your first all-out drive with the tune. And???

You need a Tech 2 do do a clutch relearn. It only takes a couple minutes so if you're cool with your local dealership, you could get one done for free. I don't know if it would help your situation or not, however.

tune is nice, defiantly a-lot faster than it was. Turbo also spools up really fast now, and totally forgot i had a higher rev limit lol which i know now so the gears pull longer.

im happy so far!

the car starts on every start, you just have to make sure the clutch pedal is to the floor without an inch to spare.

other than figuring out how to get it to work, its 100% worth the money.

so what did you do? get a dealer to flash tech2 or did you find out you had to hold the clutch all the way down?

It's been a month. How do you like it? Still making you smile? If I were you I'd find a local repair shop with a tech 2 and do a clutch relearn. There's one here in Colorado that'll do it for cheap, seyfer automotive, but that doesn't help you. But still I'm sure you can find a repair shop that'll do it so you don't void your warranty going to a dealership

I didn't have any issues with the ZZP spare! No issues at all, the only thing I didn't like was since i had such high altitude the boost died out too quickly, but it wasn't the tunes fault. I just live too damn high.

So I got trifecta instead

Alright here is what you have to do, disconnect your negaive battery cable for a few mins, then go in with your tech 2 and see what is going on

Bumping this thread, having a similar issue....I have slammed the clutch into the floor and tried it about 10-15 times AFTER doing the security relearn...should I just keep trying or take it somewhere to have the clutch relearn done?

Disconnect the battery and just try again. I followed the instructions on ZZPs site, and I didn't get mine to start until the 4-5th time.

When i did the re-learn for my car the problem i had was the security light never came on. I had a buddy that worked at gm. So i put my stock pcm in the car and drove it over their and plugged in their fancy scan tool. I was able too watch the car do the re-learn procedure and i can say all is all three steps took exactly 10 minutes each. I would say instead of waiting for the security light too go out just set a timer for ten minutes and five seconds and repeat for all 3 steps.
