here in OK 55gal-110=$437.25, 55gal-e98=280 to your door.

ridiculous cost difference for those guys running sat/sun weekend after weekend. 6 rounds a day. thats why a lot of people around here just run methanol. and keep it all in the same place as where the fuel they tune from comes from. same fuel, same temp, consistency=win.

its like top fuel around here seriously. even the mechanics have their own rituals, let alone drivers. i've seen a guy run 4.74's 1/8 for 8 passes in a row. wanna run super pro down here???
And that's 110 not even c16

Yup. 110 does not come close. When we were testing Ryan's car, we got up to 630 on 110 and that was about the limit. Ethanol/C16 was good for another 250+ whp with less knock.

Hey man, I'm just trying to learn here. At least I'm asking questions and brainstorming. This isn't my area of expertise. I have things to learn.

Just cause someone burns more fuel does not mean they make more power either. You might as well have said that making more boost makes more power too. But I get it. Thanks for being a tool.

Anyways, thanks Matt for posting this info. It gives me something new to research. Have ZZP even considered Methanol just for the sake of numbers? I know its probably not practical.

also you sir need to update your signature from 677whp S262 to 730whp S262..!!

We won't be testing any higher with this trans. It is an early zzp 4.45 trans that doesn't have the lsd.

I used the rest of our E98 and a little E100, and then added in C16 until the mixture reached about 60% C16.

I will update the sig, using SAE correction.

I found out on Friday, anyone can order a 55g drum of pure e100 blend from Brazil.. It's a little pricey around $5.10 a gallon after all the taxes & fees added on [us customs/duty/transport]..

or the other idea was order this kit.. it's a e100 fuel station for home..

just add sugar water & yeast.. you'll get pure filtered e100 fuel.. it comes with a 50 gal tank.. and it produces 50 gal every 6-7 days.. but it cost $30k.. it could pay for it self in 4 years..

I thought E100 was not legal to sell unless you want to pay the beverage taxes on it?? It's probably denatured with gasoline or something. I just can't imagine they'd be selling pure Ethanol like that.

Either way, the home system a buddy and I have discussed.... Until we saw how expensive it is.

- it's both legal and illegal depending in which states and what it's used for - either scientific or for human consumption..

- in many states there is "beverage tax or highway/fuel tax", but that's if your selling fuel by volume to the public [avg over 1k+ gallons per year] and it varies from state to state, as for the "beverage tax" that's if your selling - Ethanol or Alcohol for human consumption.. in most states you either need a fuel tax ID or you don't, as long as you don't sell over the "volume limit" or "personal use" guide lines ..

- there are companies selling a similar and pure blend of "e100" but labelled for the scientific community.. and it's not cheap $18.00 gal and you need to be a registered laboratory..

- there is a cheaper home kit to put together for under $1000 to produce any e-blend..
