mine hits at 7000 i bought the car of the dealer new is it possible they could have tuned on it before selling it?

 

You sure its 7000? If you bought it used its possible somone went in with hp tuners and changed it, I wouldn't worry about it, with stage 2 kits the rev limiter is changed to 7000 anyway, it won't hurt anything

 

Yes, check the injectors and pulley.

Stock injectors have green tops.

The stock pulley is pressed on (meaning there are no bolts holding it on).

If it has neither of these it is prob a Stage 2 car, or aftermarket tuned.
