The car he is speaking of will not be in the 11s or 12s! Low 13s yes. 11s or 12s? Not happening with 243 hp. BTW, the new Si weighs about 100 pounds less than an SS/SC.

Idk , you would think a S2 cobalt would win but anything is possible.

A friend of mine put an Eaton SC on his 06 Si (also has intake and exhuast) and he ran 13.1 at the track. If I recall correctly he dynoed 260ish whp and 210ish wtq. His car is definatly fast and a Cobalt will need more than S2 to compete IMO.

Are you serious or messing around? Magazine racer?

With just a S/C and supports mods... yeah he should run 11's, just as soon as he ignites the f*cking rocket strapped to the backend.

Did you see the numbers, 230 some HP and 170ish for torque? It's MAYBE good for a high 13. A stock SS should have no trouble kicking its ass.

Oh, I don't think people doubted they could run in the 11s. What people were having trouble believing is that just by popping that SC on there, with his I/E, he would be in the 11s.

well i think 234whp and 173wtq would be a good driver race for a stg 1, but stg2 should lean out for the cobalt, guess we won't know till they race.

There's a guy out my way with the new Si, and he has an eaton on it. He ran 13.1 at the local track. I must admit, it's clean and pretty quick.

The Eaton will help throughout all of the powerband but it's RPM based in it's operation.

Remember, it takes power to make power with it, so it's going to be more supportive in the higher part of his powerband than it is on the lower end. Just like you guys don't max your boost pressure till you almost redline, it's the same thing with them.

I also think that your "friend" should stop going by what the company sold the kit made power wise. Every engine is different.

You obviously don't know what you are talking about.
More like you did not read the whole thread.

did anyone else notice that with this kit you are looking at at like $26,000 CIVIC, that still makes less torque (and HP in some cases) than a stock ss/sc?

i noticed... and the fact that I personally don't like the SI... so i think it's silly... for 26000 you could have a turbo'd balt' that'll be decently quick... and definatley quicker than the Si

there are so many cars out in that price range that the civic would be the absolute last choice for me haha

Low 13s on 230 whp? That sounds off to me.

Lmao 11's and 12's haha from just a supercharger, come on guys, there is no way i see that thing running under a 13.8. The si's are pains to launch, mabey not as bad as the cobalt but there bad, with the added power i see a useless first gear ( Like Us ) I say for Most average drivers who are running 14.8-15.1 in a stock si, a supercharger should net them around 14.0

Last time I checked I did not see Stock SS/SC running high 13s...Stage I and should be even, Stage II should be quicker.
