man everytime there is an Si thread I see this crap all the time...why is there so much discrepency in what these cars actually run.

One car runs 8's with just an intake and hondata, the other runs 10's with an air box mod and then another runs mid 15's on winter tires on an uphill track. ahhhhhhhhh this makes me wanna rip my hair out, lol!!

there is a turbo RSX here local pushing ~400whp but that is on 12lbs of boost at that and THAT car is good for 12's IF he can get traction. Sorry I don't see a mild boost blower setup competing with that...

I personally have yet to see a stock or lightly modded Si break out of the 15's...hell I've seen 2.4's take down Si's so I don't see why people are posting #'s like its so easy to break an Si into low 13's and below.

I never said it was easy to get an Si to run low 13's. I don't consider installing a supercharger on any car to be an "easy" mod. All I'm saying is that a guy I know from my area with a supercharged Si with intake, header, exhaust, and the Hondata flash ran a 13.1 in the 1/4 mile.

well thats not exactly lightly modded either...those bolt ons on that motor with a tune can pull 200whp. And I'd assume hes either got a smaller pulley or drag radials to go with that. but the kits that they offer don't make that type of power on a stock motor. modded anything can happen.

There are more in the 11s, than those.

You obviously don't know what you are talking about.
We are talking about a supercharger ONLY on a SI. If you think they are going to run quicker than a very high 13, you obviously have no clue about drag racing or cars to begin with.

LOL, check out the torque on this beast. Yeah, I'd like to see this break a mid-13.

You're the one that quoted me and said "You don't know what you're talking about" when I said a SI with that kit will not break high 13s.

You're a ******* fanboi if you think it can. Post a video up of one running a supercharger kit only running low 13s. Even with John Force behind the wheel it wouldn't break low 13s.

Wow, apparently a 300 hp supercharged SI can't break high 13s.

I have an SI, So I'll chime in. First off no one knows anything about the moss motors blower. No one on our forum has bought one. The average power of a roots style blower for us is like 235-250whp with no good tuning option, the only current option is a reflash but that is for the Comptech kit. The Moss kit comes with Vishnu Xede and no one has tried it yet. We are only making 235-250 on like 8 lbs of boost with a roots style blower...which sounds about right to me since we cant tune. Our high compression, plus boost with no tuning is a bad combo. Most of the blown guys are running low 13's. The best I have seen I think is a 13.1. On decent tires with intake/exhuast people are seeing mid-low 14s. I ran a 14.9 my first time at a track on winter tires intake/exhaust at 90degress and humidity over 40% So I would think with an extra 50 or so whp and a driver mod, some non shitty tires it would possible.

No problem, my friend JB (VaderSS) has a SS/SC so I like to read his forum too. Not here to troll, just appreciate cars.

i'm faster than stage 2
^^just wanted to start it off like that

but i raced an s/c'd Si at the track.. he had dr's and that s/c kit. he ran a 13.1 to my 13.8 (best e.t. at the time) you will get pounded. DO NOT bet money on this race

this is the exact car i am taking about

you're pretty upset about this aren't you? are you aware that vehicles (other than LSJ powered ones of course ) can actually be made to go fast? I know its a tough one to wrap that peanut around, but when they whoop your ass i think it'll start sinking in..
