Agreed, Stage 2 the Balt and you should beat him. From a roll it might be different. But for all hells sake, just go race him, see what happens, and even make a video, who wouldnt love to see a video of a coby vs a supercharged civic.

I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and say 13.7-14 flat. Guess we will all find out. The Si weighs 100 pounds less then the cobalt SS/Sc. I run 13.6s with a 2.5 60" lol. Drag radials comming in the mail very soon so I'm hoping for low 13s.

a supercharged Si with a drive that knows what he's doing would take a stage 2 cobalt in my opinion......hell, those things run low 14's to high 13's with intake, header, exhaust, and a hondata k-pro tune (which is what jackson racing uses to tune those cars). Now add a supercharger to that equation and low 13's to high 12's are totally possible. Not to mention that the new Si's come with limited slip, and they also have very nice gearing in that six speed transmission.........

i know of a certain civic that put down 215 fwhp here in kc. went 13.1

it's a cute little hatch back with little ass slicks.

anything is possible, if it's realistic or not is another story

he was obviously reffering to the 07 si being able to do low 13s on 230whp, or NOT being able to, anyway.
hatches weigh about 38lbs, with a driver

all you need is a stiff breeze and put it in neutral to break 14s with those buggers.

LOL.... yea...

sunburst... everything would have to be perfect for that... and a hell of a driver mod... i think the best stock si time was like 14.8 that i've seen... which is good... but i feel without an uber driver mod it'll be tough.. .plus they're talking about a s/c on an otherwise stock car...

yes, they run high 14's stock....however like I said, with just intake, header, exhaust and a hondata tune they are in the low 14's to high 13's......wich a supercharger on that they will easily be in the low 13's.....and like the OP said, his friends car already has an intake and exhaust.....so I will still say he will be in the low 13's pretty easy since it sounds like he's a good driver.

Ive seen no si break 13s with only I/H/E/tune
14.1 was the best last i saw.
Unless you forgot to include DRs in that mod list.

yea thats why i was saying everything would have to be perfect ( tuning wise) and they'd have to be a pro driver...most reviews show the si at 14.9-15.3 or so stock... so dropping a second off or more on just a those mods seems iffy.. but regardless race his ass

Heaven forbid they keep things in perspective so they appear less idiotic and don't make fools of themselves in public.

how do you suck at life because the supercharger you bought didnt make good power ?? you suck at life when you put on the supercharger backwards not when you buy one and it doesnt make good power

A supercharged SI should quite a bit faster than stage2.
Haha I hear ya man, I'm gonna say that the S2 Cobalt would lose that race, but the only way to find out would be to race him and let us know.

The SC'ed Si around here has exactly that and ran the 13.1, its flat out fast.

Because you just spent thousands of dollars on a supercharger than didn't make good power.

ok, well an 06 Si with the same motor and mods will produce those times. And Jackson racing will have hondata support when the kit is released.....Hondata already has an ecu flash offered for the 06/07 Si's

http://www.hondata.com/kpro.html

k-pro applications.

a reflash ranks right up there with a mail order tune, or a gm stage 2 tune.

think about that one for a second.

The 234 whp / 171 tq numbers sound like those from the Comptech s/c Si, which if I recall was only pushing 3.5 psi. Definitely some room for improvement there.
