110 is leaded gas. It does not work in car with catalytic converters.

using anything above what you're supposed to is absolutely useless without being tuned for higher octane... it's a waste of money, and hurts performance... thinking that higher octane = more power is one of the biggest car myths going...

Is it leaded? That is my question, if it is DON'T (do not) use it. If its unleaded, go ahead. At the local race track in AZ the gas vendor sells 109 unleaded, and I saw on the internet that there is a company that makes 114 octane UNLEADED!!! The reason leaded is so bad, is because
#1 if you have a cat, it will be clogged in no time
#2 if you don't have a cat, you 02 sensor will be fuct in no time

guys, don't use anything over 93 unless you're tuned for it... it's going to hurt more than help

The real advantage of race gas is to get rid of KR if you're getting any. You can run more boost and timing on race gas. In my opinion, rather than spend ~$6.00 a gallon on race gas all of the time, spend a couple hundred bucks on a water/meth injection kit-and get the same results, plus the benefit of more cooling. Refilling with washer fluid at less than $.90/gallon is cheaper than race gas.

We all say something that we think is true but isnt true many times in our lives. This may be one of his, but provides you with no excuse for being jerk. You dont need to insult his intelligence just because he was mistaken, IMO you should be a little more respectful and a little more patient and be slow in forming your opinions, cuz its not like he just spewed out multiple incorrect assumptions and swore under heaven that they were all true. Chill

I'd rather have two tunes, and not have to worry about the variables of water/meth. I just couldn't go around with 24 degrees of timing and 91 octane. Even if I didn't get knock, I would be too scared to get on it in fear of the system not working or failing and getting 10 degrees of knock and pop goes my motor. Just because YOUR water/meth system hasn't failed doesn't mean it can't happen.
