2.6 with 60's
2.6 with 60's
hey im wondering if i can do a 2.6 pulley with 60's. i have full exhaust intake heat exhanger and other supporting mods. im going up to the OTTP stage 2 so just wondering before i buy.
when I ran a 2.6, I had to run the 1/2" zzp spacer plate between the lower mani and the blower to avoid belt slip past 5800 rpm.
In my experience the 2.7 will not slip w/ just a stg2 belt.
A oversized tensioner pulley isn't a bad idea though.
80s and e85 is the only way you should go, unless you have access to pump 100+ octane or c12 at cost.

What are you're IAT2's with you're 2.6? I just picked one up. But not installing it till i have full exhaust which i'll do next spring. My cooling mods are meth, dual pass, heat exchanger and option b
They will climb into the high 130s on the street. On the dyno they were in the high 150s. I'm thinking about just running W/I to keep my SC and IM cool at WOT.
e-85's doing? Didn't realize the engine temps would have such an effect on iats.

So not only is the fuel burning cooler you are also using 30% more of it. So it does a much better job of controlling the heat.
I am thinking about using Water Injection to keep the SC and IM cool. That would really be the ultimate setup.
When I made 303whp I had my High Octane table set to command 25 degrees of timing. But since my IATs were so high I was only running like 23.5-24. With W/I I should be able to keep my IATs in the 120s on the dyno which is not only better because of the denser air but I should be able to run all the timing my timing table is commanding.
I am thinking that with 30+ degree cooler air and another degree of timing my car should be able to make over 310 to the wheels. Maybe a little more.
im gong to get the OTTP stage 2 should i get the ls4 T/B? and wat kind of number u think ill mak caust i hve ull olt ons that u cand get and fot cooling. and thats wih 60's and te 2.7 and ls4 T/B
LS4 TB is not needed unless you need to move some big air flow. The stock TB is more than enough for most applications
Not as bad as i thought. Right now i see 120-130 at WOT with my 2.8. And i love popping my hood after back to back pulls and my supercharger is cold to the touch
so u guys think ill be safe with running a 2.7 i hav an otion B a cobra H/E but its a bgget cored aftermaret one thats wat i ave in the way of cooling mods and exhaust i dont ave a header but a 3ich dp and it collects to 2.5in and its just to a puffler and thats it i also have a bi oil coler cause i wanted to auto cross it and they wanted that as one of the speafecaton and i have a ported TB and polish blades and inside of he blower and orted and polish neck and a cold air.
