How much of an heat difference between the 2.8 pulley and the 2.9. Its getting hot outside and im thinking to switching to an 2.9 to be a little less harsh on my cobalt
What your thoughts on this??

BUT i have the cx racing brushless pump so i think that might be my problem
Im on 2.8 with cx racing h/e and option b
Those cx racing pumps are not that good l. Bought one and couldnt beleive how small it was lol. Then gave out when i hooked up to friends car after a week.

I am having that issue, but I have a 2.7 and 2.9. I notice 20 degrees above ambient with the 2.9 and 30 degrees above with the 2.7. At the end of pulls I see a ~25 degree diff between the 2 and I have dual pass, phenolic spacer and the 2.7 still recovers noticeably slower. Power is crap with 2.7 since its making more heat and its warm, but it was a lot of fun when the weather was cooler...looking into meth or e85 for the summer.
Yup the cx racing pump made me laugh when I saw it. It's honestly long as my middle finger.
Anyways I was just wondering is there an good heat difference between the 2.8 n 2.9
Im not looking to do meth n other stuff, jw the difference.

When it's hot, just don't get on the car, and you wont have to worry about pulley size so much.
Even my 76mm pulley can get temps cookin if I open the car up on a hot day.

is there a mod for the hood? maybe cut the hood to have air go straight onto the supercharger? Honda S2000 owners make cuts that help get air to the turbo.. figure it might be similar, etc

A dual pass and front mount heat exchanger will make a significant difference to your IAT2's.
