You guys need to stop focusing on just the IDC with the Stage tune, and look at A/F. I think its pointless when you idiots group up and tell each other how the engine will destroy itself or some **** unless you use 60lb injectors. A good custom tune on a Stage kit will get the IDCs well into the normal range. You can't just look at one side of the equation and condemn it.

You also have to take into consideration the fact that elevation, temps, yadda yadda go into factor, however one thing we can all see plain and simply is that injectors dont care, if they are over 100% there pissed. I will prove that the gm stage 2 tune, 2.8inch pulley and 7k rpms is a BAD combo.

Joe, we are not talking about a tuned, tune. We are talking about the kids who come on here with the gm stage 2 tune, and put a 2.8 inch pulley or lower on it, with no cooling mods, and think there fine. ITS NOT FINE.

i understand there's a lot more involved, i'm not saying the engine will **** itself, i'm just trying to make sure people know that its safer to go with 60's. so many time's i see guys with no mods other than an "airbox mod" being told to throw on a 2.9 pulley. that's what i'm going after. there are so many aspects of a perfornamce motor it's crazy, just trying to clarify one of those.

Another thing is cooling > power. Plain and simple on these cars.

The IDCs are high, the car is not unsafe. The IDCs are over 100% because the car is trying to get a 10:1 A/F out of it, which is not necessary. If the injectors don't supply enough fuel, then you might actually make a little power, as it will lean out closer towards what you want.

I've yet to see someone have an injector failure from being static too much. My car would be a perfect candidate, Stage 1/2.8 for over 2 years, IDCs in the 120s sometimes. Injectors are fine, car ran perfect the whole time.

Cooling = Power on any car, we just have a very hot compressor in the M62, so we need more cooling than most boosted cars. Thats just plain math there, no secret. Cooler air can make more power.
