2006 cobalt ss power problems

I Jave A 2006 Cobalt Ss And Ive JUst Been HavIng Recent Problems When Getting Into The Throttle Amd Getting Over 3800 Rpm The CarStarts Jerking Like Ots Running On ThreeCylinders Or Something But ItDoes Not Throw A Cel Or And Faults. Can Someone Please Help!

Wouldnt It Throw A Code For An O2 Sensor Tho? I Guess Idk How To FindIf Its Clogged?

I had that happen to me 2yrs ago and it was the cat... Does car feel like u are redlining at 3800 like u said?

By removing it lol chevy dealers MIGHT replace it free of charge because of the emmissions law but depends on where you live. Call to see if its available in your state.

Call your nearest dealer later on and ask. So go to sleep now and stop stressing about it cuz I'm 90 percent sure that's the problem if they don't replace it , look on the classifieds section here and/or post a "wanted" ad and someone will hook you up with a used piece

Well the dealer wants $620 for a new cat and i cant find any online that will fit my car. Any suggestions? Chould i just cut it out and put aa piece of pipe in it?

well another thing you could do is buy a zzp 2.5 exhaust. its 450$. but thats if you cant find another system. but thats the stealership for you

Why not just take it off and just get rid of all the material inside of the cat and go from there

Yes, but you'll throw a code. You can cut it out the old cat and weld in a new one.

It should be covered under the emissions law.

It was bumped to 10 years 100,000 miles on the LSJ converters.

I would look into that.

This. I got a letter about it sometime ago regarding the redline and Cobalts. Of course, I already changed the downpipe.

Car runs fine now. If it acts up again I will buy a pipe. It has a mind of its own!!!
