3.15 pulley and stock injectors?
ok i have seen threads about people runnning 3in pulleys on stock injectors and the concensus seems to be i have been running it for 3-4 months no problem. yeah thats great but to be honest you have absolutely no idea what your doing to your car. a fairly lean a/f is one thing but that dramatically changes when an injector goes static 144idc come on.
back to the point i have not seen any idc numbers for a 3.15 pulley on stock injectors. so i was curious to see some numbers/ plz no posts about why dont you get injectors and run an even smaller pulley.
i have no desire to do so this car is my secondary toy (daily driver except in winter) all i want to do is get just a lil bit more boost and maybe 10 extra horse over what i have now (dyno is sig is old have tuned and switched to ngk copper pluggs @.40 gap.)
becuase my brothers damn modified golf 1.8t fmc,tune 2.5in dp back exhaust ,3in dp, stiffer diverter spring spike @23psi stock turbo, intake and thats just to name a few mods. has got me by about a 1/10 of a second. and he only just pulls me about 1 quater car length in third gear only. so as you can see i have to beat him by enough so that it is no longer a drivers race. so then i will have 2 cars that are faster than him. and also beacuase just about the only ting he can do from here is run a bigger turbo. so if i can beat him for 150 bux. then he will have to run a big turbo and that would just be cool.
i also realize that i pretty much sound like cartman right now. but for the love of god has anyone on here seen the numbers for a big turbo 1.8t with those mods and a tune? its absurd and i must drive one before i die.

Get a CAI, or a catback, bouth should be good for around 10HP and no dicking around with pulleys if you dont know much about them!
or a GMPP stage 2 would get all that arguments done and that would keep all your warranty, get an extra 500 rpm and it looks completely stock when you open the hood!

yeah i know there are different routes i can take. and its definatley not the case that i dont know anything about pulleys or sizes. i have just never seen anyone running a 3.15 pulley at all and i wanted to know what the injector pulse rate is on stock injectors. or hell even if anyone here has ever even run a 3.15 pulley?
and you kind of missed the point, a pulley is going to cost less than 150 bux. an intake would cost that or more more and why would i need an intake? i have the airbox mod. (says it in my sig)and since im not looking to make rly high hp #'s its just not necessary. the idea here would be not to spend any more money than necessary. the fiance would kill me and all my money goes into my project s-10

If you want I can log my buddies stock car for the pulse rate and duty cycle stock so you can know how much more play the intectors have, but i'd be safe to assume that it's fairly close to 80% IDC stock, my 42lbers and a 2.7 pulley are hitting 144% IDC(I know WICKED bad idea but it still runs and I have no money :P and it still runs as fast as 60lber cars haha) so that would put the 3 inch into the 42lber area. Just my personal oppinion and observation.
