3.5" Intake
I know some people have pmed me about this already. I have saved those pm's and will get back to everyone this weekend. I have just finished the proto-type unit. It fits and appears to not buldge the fender liner at all. The upper core support above the drivers headlight needs a slight bend of about 3/4" towards the bottom of it. This can actually be done by hand because it's not welded there. This mod is also not visible from the top. The intake doesn't kit the brake lines, computer or anything else. Pics to come shortly.
I am not questioning anyone in particular but why would this not make power over a 3" intake? I know many of the LS engines aftermarket intakes are 4" diameter tubing (5th gen camaro and GTO) and some people here are making just as much, if not more, than some of the factory LS engines. If they are benefitting from their already >3" tubing with the addition of 4" tubing, why would this not benefit bigger power LSJs as well?
I'm trying to find a cheaper source for the 3.5" bends. They are a lot more expensive than the 3" stuff. Price looks to be about $275 for a complete intake with kn filter.
Not bad at all josh. 275 is actualy a lot less than I was thinking.
I may pick one up just cuz.
Ppl need to realize that this has to be tuned for. And I knoticed drivability went out the window off idle with a 3.5" maf housing.

Looks good, but that MAF housing is going to be awfully close to the filter.
Maybe back it up an inch or so to avoid any turbulance you may get from the filter.

The MAF placement will be different. I just used scrap bends and pieces I had laying around to make this. The Maf will be rotated to the side more and about 1.75" further back.
