Aeroforce Interceptor users please read!

When you install the gauge, does it immediately show you the IAT1 and 2s? or do you have to buy something like a air temp sensor to install in the intake? someone told me that you have to do this in order for your gauge to read the proper air intake temps. Any truth to this?

Nope. Itll read them right outta the box. You jsut gotta set it up.

My top one here is reading IAT1 and IAT2, about 10 mins after I had installed JUST the gauges.

so does mine, took me a whopping ten minutes to remove the boost guage, run the wire to the obd port, plug it in, and fire the car up.........no extra power wires needed.

Its funny because the guy that I bought it from had the same year redline, and he needed external power. Guess my car was special.

Well if you havea boost gauge, you can just splice into that power line. If not get some wire and run the power line across to the fuse box and use a tap.

I have a dual gauge setup and the cable is running into the obd2 plug. My primary will momentarily shut-off and come right back on but my secondary never does that. Also when I start the car, the gauges won't start unless I unplug them and hook it up again.

Just run your power wire to the fuse box and use a tap a fuse kit. Plug it into the sunroof fuse and run the black ground wire to ground. Not hard.

For the most part the guage displays the values provided by the engine computer and it's sensors. There are a few features on the new versions that allow you to add your own sensors (two addition) with a 0-5v output. There is also a HP and MPG feature based on your engine PCM values.

You need to run auxiliary power. I had this problem initially.

Why do you say that. It took me maybe 10 minutes to install the thing from start to finish and that is with running a power line from the fuse panel. It's easy.

For those of us who tried to use the radio fuse, it took, much, much, much longer.

for those of you who have the issue of having to unplug and replug the guages in to get them to work properly on the back of the gauge there is a little red jumper. remove it as it is not required for the cobalts and it is what's causing that particular problem

actually when i first installed a couple of the gauges on a few buddies pages, the part where they explained about the jumper was really confusing and from my understanding (its been a while since i've read the instructions) it didn't say anything about removing the jumper for the cobalts. so after some trial and error i figured it out with some help from a buddy. so since this is the case i figured i would also share my info so people can use their gauges properly
