YOU WILL NOT GET ANY OIL ISSUES UNLESS YOU OVER OIL YOUR FILTER! I have had the K&N on my car for 2 years, and have had ZERO NADDA CEL's from it!

I checked my MAF the other day and it was clean too (I cleaned it just because I took it off) but it wasn't dirty!

And YES by a HYDROshield they work great!

I have the GMPP intake then I removed the airbox and bought a couple 3" extensions and stuck it through the airbox hole and now have a Fujita F5 filter sitting at the bottom of my bumper. THE SOUND IS RIDICULOUS past 4k RPM's. It's like you listen to the exhaust from 800-4000 then all of a sudden your engine wakes up and goes into beastmode and gets louder than the exhaust. And I even have a full 2.5 headerback exhaust. It's a sweet mod.

Quick question....

Is the clamp on the bottom partion of the box reuseable? The one that the top of the box connecting to the tube going towards the charger. I am going to install the new cut box tomorrow, and I have not even looked at the stock one yet.

I installed the AEM dryflow in the airbox on both balts so I can still put the cover back on. As I mentioned earlier, my black ss/sc has the XTC CAI hooked to the factory airbox and my sport tint red ss/sc has the OEM plastic CAI.
In comparison, the black balt has much better throttle response and it is loud as hell when accelerating. The XTC CAI is 3" tubing that connects to the factory airbox. It works very well but the quality isn't all that great. I have solicited some of the CAI manufacturers (supporting vendors) to build a better quality and fitting CAI that connects to the factory air box. This is cheaper than a full CAI and we would have the option to purchase a filter.

Well, here are the results. We had a major storm come threw, I really tested out how wet this thing can get. I drove threw some puddles that were really deep. (Not that I wanted to, I had no choice in the matter!) So don't comment back that I was dumb! I had no hydro lock, and life went on.

The car itself....

I am getter better fuel economy, I can hear my supercharger, and most of all... I gained all of the torque that I lost in my low end when I upgraded my exhaust! I went 2.5" all the way to the muffler. I had gained a lot of high end, but lost a lot of low end. This mod did the trick. For a stock ride other than exhaust, This was the cherry on top of my cream pie! The car pulls like never before. My next mod will be motor mounts. Then I will work on stage 1.

Intake mod I preformed on my 2.4 GT using a 3" Injen filter which I bought off of Andrew and cleaned and re-oiled. It sounds much better, throttle response is about the same... all in all an excellent mod with respect to cost/benefit ratio. Will post mounted pics tomorrow.

You are not supposed to use the stock filter for that. You are to get an aftermarket that clamps on the tube instead. If you do it right, it will never come off.
